   Outstanding screenplay by Jimmy McGovern delivered by two sensational performances from Sean Bean and Stephen Graham. Rarely does TV create such a frightening and realistic portrayal of the harsh realities of life inside, and with a fantastic supporting cast, this three-part mini-series is most definitely the best TV I’ve seen all year.

Although it’s a concise miniseries, it doesn’t rely on grandiose monologues or soliloquies. There are moments of slight over-dramatization, yet Sean Bean’s and Stephen Graham’s performances are remarkably restrained and compelling. Watching the show can be frustrating; there were times I felt compelled to yell at the screen, which might be intentional. It sheds light on the flaws within the prison system, serving as a critique and questioning the true purpose of incarceration. Time is worth watching solely for the outstanding performances.     This is an excellent miniseries. It felt like quite a realistic take on a fairly simple guy who wound up in jail because of addiction.. his experiences in there and the development of other inmates is both scary and heartbreaking .. with an emotionally impactful ending 😢

    Quite simply the best thing I’ve seen on TV all year. Line of Duty is absolutely gripping of course, but it has all the bells and whistles to be so, relying on almost a decade of story and viewer commitment to call on. In contrast, Time relies on nothing more than quality writing from Jimmy McGovern and superb performances from a cast headed up by Sean Bean and Stephen Graham. As a result, it’s old school television at its best and I was quietly and utterly blown away.

    This is genuinely one of the best short series I’ve watched I actually got emotional at the end. I’m so glad I got recommended this from the prison inspector that came into my sociology a level class to talk to us. I see why she recommended it it’s so amazing and gritty I so glad I watched this at like 2am to 6am like a manic but it was so amazing

    SAISON 2 C’est bien que ce soit court, les émotions sont là, ça a l’air plutôt réaliste ect… Franchement cool pas grand chose à dire ça se fait en une matinée et ça donne le sourire de voir de l’espoir dans le milieu carcéral.

    As someone who’s never served hard time, I can confirm this is one of the most accurate depictions of prison life that I’ve seen. And having visited London once in college, I found it to be a brilliant critique of the fundamental flaws in the UK’s legal and penal systems.

    One of my favourite series ever. Its a shame its only 3 episodes long because Sean Bean and Stephen Graham just steal the show completely. You feel for Marc yet lecture him for his mistakes but you see the regret and the want for redemption. It’s a shame Stephen’s character got an unlucky ending but Marc’s happy ending keeps the watcher hopeful for his future
