The chimpanzee should have been played by Robbie Williams, now that would have been a movie.

Losing this bad to a chimpanzee is kind of a skill issue idk. Shout out to that one kid for his delivery of “I’m gonna call the department of… fucking.. animals!!”

I have no idea why this was so highly rated, or why the tag-along bitch character always has to be a thing.

I don’t want to ever criticize a movie for not doing what I think it should have done. That being said — “Ben” (the rabid chimpanzee) plays the role of the generic cold killing machine slasher villain instead of, what I believe could easily be a more refreshing take on both the slasher and animal/monster horror antagonist: a near human-intelligent chaotically emotional force of pure brutality. I wanna see a chimp kill its owners/masters/family as its mind breaks. I feel…

Lucky for Ben the college kids left their brains at home, it does make the killing spree that much easier.

Primate is proof that having a good horror concept is not the same thing as having a good horror movie. A rabid chimp? Great. Everything that happens around that chimp? Question mark. Question mark. QUESTION MARK. The movie is stupid, exaggerated, and so unrealistic that eventually I stopped being scared and started mentally writing a list of things that make absolutely no sense. And there’s the problem: way too many situations, not enough story. That said… I’ll give it this:…

I was real scared of that monkey. 🐒 I was gripping the chair. Kinda gross tho, just ripping off people jaws, no hesitation. The lesson is if you have a monkey you should be prepared for it to go bananas.

Primate had a couple of really nice things going for it, a stunning location, gnarly kills, awesome practical effects and of course, Ben! However, everything else failed in comparison! The characters were all so boring and flat. The final girl should have died on multiple occasions because Ben, who is suppose to RABID, would have just teared her apart! Instead of an actual rabid chimp, we get a crazy, murderous chimp who has moments of incredible deceit and intelligence! They…

The entire plot is 4 girls stuck in a pool because the monkey can’t swim and they keep leaving the pool to try to get a phone and every single time they either get killed by the rabid monkey or drop the phone or some bs when they’re running back to the pool. And then their deaf father shows up and beats the shit out of the monkey. This is a 90 minute movie that feels like 4 hours.
