    I don’t want to ever criticize a movie for not doing what I think it should have done. That being said — “Ben” (the rabid chimpanzee) plays the role of the generic cold killing machine slasher villain instead of, what I believe could easily be a more refreshing take on both the slasher and animal/monster horror antagonist: a near human-intelligent chaotically emotional force of pure brutality.     I was real scared of that monkey. 🐒 I was gripping the chair. Kinda gross tho, just ripping off people jaws, no hesitation. The lesson is if you have a monkey you should be prepared for it to go bananas.

    Definitivamente é um filme. Legalzinho até, mas não passa muito disso. Ao menos rendeu aquela resenha básica. Pelo menos é bem filmado e consegue criar uma pequena tensão em alguns momentos. Se esse chimpanzé já dá um medo na vida real dependendo do temperamento dele, imagina se fosse a porra de um babuíno… Ninguém saía vivo daquela merda 🫪

    Primate had a couple of really nice things going for it, a stunning location, gnarly kills, awesome practical effects and of course, Ben! However, everything else failed in comparison! The characters were all so boring and flat. The final girl should have died on multiple occasions because Ben, who is suppose to RABID, would have just teared her apart!     The entire plot is 4 girls stuck in a pool because the monkey can’t swim and they keep leaving the pool to try to get a phone and every single time they either get killed by the rabid monkey or drop the phone or some bs when they’re running back to the pool. And then their deaf father shows up and beats the shit out of the monkey. This is a 90 minute movie that feels like 4 hours.
