You gotta give it to Baz Luhrmann man, he truly is 1 of 1 when it comes to film directors, no one does it like him. Moulin Rouge! is fantastic; it’s for sure not for everyone which is typical for Luhrmann movie, but I had a real good time with it. Perhaps the Bazziest Baz Luhrmann film. Some of the most chaotic sequences I’ve ever seen. Few films are so capable of being beautiful or hideous at any given moment. The production design, costumes, and music (most of the time) are great, the editing not so much. Some wonderful scenes in between (still technically impressive) sludge. An impressive creative achievement despite the flaws. Thinking I might like it more on an eventual rewatch now that I know what to expect

El Tango de Roxanne es definitivamente top tier escenas musicales de la historia. Este revisionado, varios años después de verla por primera vez me hizo valorarla mucho mas. Luhrmann hace suya la historia con su estilo tan extravagante pero que con corazón, hace que la pelicula no se sienta rara ni incomoda de ver. El cine musical necesita que Ewan McGregor regrese al género por favor.
