Blu-ray To be perfectly honest, while this movie might be objectively better, I find myself thinking about Only God Forgives more. Still, Drive is a weirdly meditative experience that I find myself coming back to every now and then.

Imagine practicing your lines and half of them are only one word long. Drive was good, but it could’ve been better. I feel like some characters (Irene for example) didn’t really have any personality. This affected the entire movie and the relationships between the characters.

i watched this for the first time recently. i didnt know that song was made for this movie specifically so it was kinda accidental nostalgia. thank you ryan gosling for (another) perfect performance as an unchecked autist content with his routine life until introduced to the chaos and pain of romance. elevator scene made me sweat. everyone was also really good in this idk. bryan cranston, carey mulligan, oscar isaac, christina hendricks albert brooks, they all cooked. one last mention to the hotel shootout scene, it was nicely done.

What a great movie. Visually stunning. I love how the soundtrack is almost a character itself. I love how Driver is like the sweetest and kindest and all that, but also absolutely terrifying. He’s like a shark (great callback to the cartoon where the shark is always the villain. Is Driver the villain of this story?). I love how unexpectedly gory it is, while every shot is so cleanly thought out. Amazing movie.

Second car-themed film of the night. Some lovely shots, really like Ryan Gosling’s performance and the contrasting silent v full music moments but just lacked a bit of pace and interest. Liked it as part of a double feature though, getting the motivation up for my driving test – sixth time lucky.

Cine. Es como baby driver pero infinitamente mejor y tiene momentos que me han encantado. Me gusta mucho como lo hace Ryan Gosling y me hace mucha gracia que su personaje parezca medio autista gran parte de la peli. Lo único que hace que no le ponga 5 estrellas es que a mi parecer tiene un par de fallos en el guion que quizá se podrían haber arreglado si la peli fuese un poquito mas larga (se me ha quedado algo corta). En definitiva me ha gustado muchísimo y ha estado muy bien.

It has the potential to be so much grittier and cooler but the script and the directing significantly let it down. Ryan Gosling is a good actor, however the “cold” and “intimidating” character did not translate well, instead making it seem like a lazy acting job and the character seemed more under developed…

I was excited and skeptical coming into this, I saw it getting compared to John wick which I honestly didn’t like that much cause the story was pretty ass and was just violence, violence, violence. But this movie had a great blend, it had engaging story and characters with lots of gore and the opening sequence was amazing. The romance wasn’t great but it did what it needed to do.

Tellement déçu de pas avoir réussi à le voir en salle mon expérience aurait été dingue. Le film est génial Ryan Goslin wow l’aura du type mdrr il joue parfaitement le rôle. Le personnage principal est tellement imprévisible qu’on sait jamais où sa va et on est toujours surpris. Parlons de la BO qui est juste exceptionnel elle colle parfaitement au film j’aime trop. saw this in theatres at the enzian and it was one of the best theatre experiences ever. the sound mixing really made this movie stand out compared to watching at home. the colors and shots are sooooo beautiful and so is ryan gosling. he is so sweet and his eyes are so kind and at the end they sparkle like they have glitter in them. this movie is so good and the music is amazing all in all so fantasmic
