INFINITY WAR: unwatchable space trash. one of the worst movies in the MCU. ENDGAME: a genuinely touching (and cleverly self-reflexive) mega-spectacle about how it feels to fail the people you love. one of the best movies in the MCU. i don’t make the rules! glad that the entire genre of superhero movies could end on a high note. i still cannot get over the fact that scarlett johansson, who is worth $140 million dollars, got paid to make and eat a peanut butter sandwich on white bread in this movie. i CANNOT get over this. A PLAIN PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICH. and she tries to share this one sandwich with steve, and then scott eats it later in the scene. IS THIS ALL THE FOOD THEY HAVE IN THE AVENGERS HEADQUARTERS? an adrenaline rush and exactly as gaudy as you might think, but also completely unique tonally in its approach. this feels like a special moment in film history at the very tippy top of the cinematic universe era that can’t possibly last for as long as people expect. in the scope of things, film is still in its infancy as an art form, and to see a spectacle like this that has so many moving parts is kind of remarkable, even if it’s not totally my thing. for better or worse, we’re living through one of the most exciting times in history to mass consume and bond over art, and that really is… something

Très différent de Infinity War, dans cette épisode, j’ai plus l’impression quand remontant le temps, ils forcent la réalité pour compenser leurs échec. De plus, le film en lui même est peu être un peu trop lent, cumulé à sa très longue durée sa peut devenir un peu lourd. Peu être que mon avis changera lors du prochain film.

Better than I remember, I quite enjoyed the resolutions to several subplots, but overall the main plot felt a tad bit chaotic and very weirdly paced. Nothing will ever top seeing Mjolnir fly off screen into Steve’s hands for the first time.
