However, by the nineties, most of these primo sex comedies had dried up…so the release of American Pie in 1999 was a revelation to the pre-pubescent and a trip down memory lane…

My coworker was begging me to watch this and he was right to recommend it! Easy watch, super funny and crude. Love Eugene Levy. Whole lotta memorable and silly moments with a very Troy Bolton plotline! Spectacular soundtrack. High school is over and college is TOMORROW!

es raro porque no vivi esta epoca, pero es sorprendente el nivel de nostalgia que me causa, como si yo mismo fuera parte de este film, la saga de american pie es por excelencia, la mejor pelis de adolescentes de los 2000 jamás creada. y obviamente recalcar la jodidamente increíble banda sonora que tiene, 100% de acuerdo a las vibras de la peli, con muchas de mis canciones favoritas. btw veanla en el idioma original, es incluso más graciosa.

This movie is lightning-in-a-bottle. It was just as good when I first watched it—also, one of the best endings to a movie. Eugene Levy is a gem. Fuck Ryan Reynolds for cursing him out on the red carpet that one time. Reynolds is a piece of shit you can’t do that to a legend. Put some respect on Levy’s name buddy.

This movie seems to have reconfigured my desires post-grad. Some might jump to the conclusion I’ve changed my mind about going to a homeless shelter immediately after graduation due to my degree. However that isn’t a desire but more a destination that has many pathways extending from it but still it leads to the same point b. I was in fact referring to the objective of having a partner. Forgive my language but with all these people in the world…

This film is your typical nineties romantic comedy but with more boobs and sex than usual. Since it is more focused on the comedy aspect, it has only two serious but really generic relationship storylines, surrounded by random jokes and antics to keep you entertained. The soundtrack was a nice listen though.

American Pie es básicamente el molde de la comedia adolescente de los 2000, humor absurdísimo pero con ese encanto que hace que siga funcionando, Jim es un desastre total y Stifler tiene una presencia que se roba cada escena, no es cine de alta cocina pero como comedia de adolescentes es peak, lowkey entiendo por qué se volvió tan icónica
