   The weirdest thing about Guy Ritchie’s “Wrath of Man” isn’t that his new meathead heist movie tries to combine the tricksy plotting of “Snatch” (which he made) with the ice-cold steeliness of “Heat” (which he most definitely did not), or that the entire story hinges on the protagonist buying two burritos from the wrong food truck. It’s not that one of the major action set pieces is set to an industrial dubstep remix of Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues,” nor even the undeniable fact that it kind of works.    Somehow Guy Ritchie’s 2nd or 3rd best movie. A total structural mess for no good reason, full of his Brit-gangster adolescent machismo, wildly stacked cast, and some of the tightest action of his entire career. I think I liked it? More words at InRO.

   Has all the makings of a logistics-based heist movie (overtly cribbing from both Heat and Ocean’s 11) with lots of plan/execution expository editing and slick suspense setpieces that Ritchie then complicates and scrambles into this really macho nasty revenge movie. I’ve seen some complaints of this being dour but honestly, I found the absurdly grim, cruel mood of this to be its greatest asset. It takes some really dark detours into torture sequences and child porn dungeons and brain-matter-covered surfaces, and after a while, these scenes really started to rub against the slick genre machinery of the editing structure in a way that was more interesting than I expected. Sure, the narrative is overtly familiar, a revenge story mixed with the tactical violence of a bank heist movie, but the structure effortlessly maneuvers through tired dramatic beats.     Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham go together like strippers and OnlyFans during the global pandemic. Wrath of Man is a no bullshit action film. It has a ‘90s throwback vibe and it never lets off the gas once the movie starts rolling. Statham is an action terminator, and in my opinion, he delivers his best performance to date. Guy Ritchie is back on his A game with Wrath of Man and The Gentlemen. The action sequences and the dialogue are fantastic. The film is close to flawless for me. Check it out!

    Wrath of Man is not your typical Guy Ritchie gangster movie but oh so good, anyone wanting more than it says on the tin will be pleasantly surprised. Familiar plot elevated by a wonderfully solid piece of genre filmmaking. This is a stripped down, hard knuckled heist/revenge thriller, enjoyable in it’s own brooding, muscular way with flashes of violence and high body count. Christopher Benstead’s score was fantastic. It’s Jason Statam’s best film & performance in a long, long time. Scott Eastwood is so good in this. How is he not a bigger star? This guy should be headlining big action movies. This would make a terrific double-bill with Den of Thieves.

    „Wrath of Man“ wird in Deutschland „Cash Truck“ heißen, vermutlich weil der zuständige Verleih Sorgen hat, das hiesige Publikum könne das Wort „Wrath“ an der Kinokasse nicht richtig aussprechen. Nun ist „Wrath of Man“ natürlich auch keine kreative Sonderleistung, aber „Cash Truck“ ist auch deshalb ein besonders beschissener Titel, weil er im Gegensatz zum Originalnamen das zentrale Thema des Films komplett verfehlt. Guy Ritchies Neuer kündigt sich nämlich schon im Trailer als Film an, der er gar nicht ist. Jason Statham stampft in den 2 Minuten mit gewohnt lakonischer Coolness durch die Szenerie, zischt seinen Gegnern knackige Oneliner um die Ohren und erfüllt dann boxend und tretend gängige Machofantasien.     This has a fairly simple underlying plot, but the screenplay makes it feel more intricate than it is. The factor that maintains the suspense as long as it can is how the film distributes its information. I don’t mean it’s hard to guess what’s going to happen, but how all of this connects to what I already saw and know matters. That gives this film some edge over the usual revenge thriller. I am also on a Jason Statham spree, so among all the ones I have seen so far, this was comparatively good.

Between sets of in-laws, family obligations and whatever other obstacles life throws at me, I will continue to seek refuge in the bald head, gravelly voice and unwavering action-man energy of Jason Statham.     This is quality boyslop. Pretty good gunplay, stone-cold action from Statham man as you’d expect, high-octane set pieces as Guy Ritchie tends to deliver. Does it have the introspective melancholy of Snow Falling on Cedars? The winking absurdity of the Cohen brothers? No, it’s a movie about a one-man army who becomes an armored car driver to get bloody revenge. And it does that just fine. Anyone complaining about the weakness of the screenplay is doing the cinematic equivalent of leaving a brothel complaining they didn’t feel an emotional connection.

    Está bien, la vi con mi abuela mientras cenaba y hablaba con ella, noté varios agujeros de guion aunque alomejor es porque no estaba lo suficiente atento. La historia está guay, los saltos en el tiempo te van contando la historia y está entretenido porque tampoco te desvelan toda la película sino que te dejan hacer suposiciones. Lo del amigo no me lo esperaba pero tampoco es plotwist de que nos dejaron pistas todo el rato y luego te das cuenta de todo sino que podría ser cualquiera. Tiene su aura el calvito pero no la suficiente.

    Surprisingly odd, fun movie! Quite convoluted and DTV-coded but that’s a plus for most action movies like this and, besides, this one has a real director and other real actors and stuff. The one woman who’s relevant to the main ensemble at any point is played by Niamh Algar from Censor? Stath tells Post Malone to suck his own dick and shoots him in the face. What more can you really ask for?

    9.1/10 Bad ass movie one of my favorites so far for the year. The cast and actors was great really enjoyed the cast on this one. The movie was a really good heist type film with some other elements to it. Loved the redirection of the film half way trough didn’t see it coming but I liked it a lot. Good suspenseful movie that keeps you glued to the screen.
