I’ll just say this: if this movie came out today, I would be tweeting about its never-ending subversive brilliance all day every day. The spaceship pilots from 700 years in the past are portrayed by live-action actors, showing how the humans essentially devolved into cartoons overtime?! The story explicitly shows how massive unregulated corporations will destroy the world and then monetize its destruction and frame themselves as the savior?! The technology in the story is framed as neither good nor evil, just a tool that can either enhance or restrict life?! There are multiple overt 2001: A Space Odyssey references?! It’s a movie with almost no dialogue in the entire first half, just pure visual storytelling which endears the viewer to the characters immediately?! The credits continue the story though cave-drawings and hieroglyphics, highlighting the new start for humanity?! We don’t deserve this movie.

uma obra-prima! a relação do wall-e com a eva é algo lindo de se ver: não é forçada e nem passa por um desenvolvimento acelerado. acontece de forma gradual, fazendo com que a gente crie um apego emocional enorme pelos personagens. por trás de todo o romance, o filme também traz uma crítica social profunda sobre o quanto a tecnologia nos afeta, nos cega e nos impede de ver o lado bom de estar vivo. há tanta coisa para aproveitar fora das telas, mas passamos a maior parte do tempo vidrados nelas. ”I don’t want to survive, I want to live!”

It’s one of, if not, the best Disney movies ever made. The whole first 30 minutes without dialogue is *chefs kiss. Probably would have loved it more honestly if the whole thing was just like the first 30 minutes. It reads as a beautiful short that was pushed into a full length movie and I’m in love. Wall-E, the robot, no notes. Perfect. Wall-E the movie, beautiful. Dont love how our society just turns to mush but also … I get it. Prolly would happen. Honest take – MO is my favorite character
