Worth the watch just for that opening sequence where Chevy Chase sings along to Good Vibrations while driving.

Much worse than Christmas Vacation but in a weird way more honest. Easier to imagine Chevy Chase gambling his entire savings away in Vegas than it is spending Christmas with his family.

Chevy Chase is as likable as ever, and there are laughs scattered throughout, but Vegas Vacation is comfortably the weakest entry in the franchise. The Griswolds deserve better material than this. Fun enough in the moment, forgettable the second it’s over.

So fun fact, it was this film that introduced me to the “Vacation” series. However, I only saw the third act, and I thought this was the Christmas movie. After watching the movie, I have a controversial opinion. I think I laughed more and had a better time with this one than with the original. Though the sketches are funnier, the editing isn’t the best since there isn’t a lot of a flow and the scenes feel stitched together at times. Chase is funnier, but everyone has their moment to shine especially Randy Quaid whose a total riot. Sometimes, especially the kids, took long pauses or acted very strangely, which felt very random and took me out at times. All…

I don’t know how everyone feels about the Vacation series…but I’m not going to lie…it’s not my favorite. It’s fine. Dated for sure. And I just don’t, nor have ever really found Chevy Chase to be all that funny. Maybe I’m alone in that regard, maybe not. He has his moments for sure, but when it comes to the Vacation movies, I think the supporting cast definitely carries them. I know everyone considers Christmas Vacation an all time classic, and sure, it probably is…but I don’t even think it is in my top 20 Xmas movies. Blasphemy. I get it. Here’s another point that will probably bother people… I think this one, Vegas Vacation, is the 2nd best one in…

amazing cuz it’s just totally not funny, not even bad – i mean, its not GOOD – just absolutely not funny. nothing at all funny happens. im pretty sure im an ethan embry fan but hes just… there. everything is. contractual obligation movie, total blandness. air bud sequels have more personality. theres a decent gag about chevy trying to bribe a guy with pocket change that goes on like 3 beats too long. nobody knows why. i liked cousin eddie’s fake monstervision trailer and i think theres a joke about the hills have eyes in there somewhere. his daughter has a barenaked ladies poster and theres a rooftop scene set to republica’s “ready to go” (“on the rooftop shout it…

I love the Vacation movies, but of course this one has always been the weakest link. However, with that being said, the Vegas atmosphere draws you in. Definitely one of those movies that drag on for too long, but you can’t seem to look away.

This is a good finale to the whole National Lampoon’s Vacation series. First off, if I had a nickel for every time the film series have mentioned a famous person who was in a tragic incident, both of which are Princess Diana and the duo Siegfried & Roy, I’ll have two nickel. That isn’t a lot of nickels, but it’s weird that the movie series did that twice. Anyways, the Griswold’s take on Las Vegas with the family group splitting into…

Definitely the weakest of the Vacation films but still has some funny moments. I like the fact that all of the family get their own storyline which is something slightly lacking in the other films. The weakest part of this film for me is Chase’s depiction of Clark. In the previous films he comes across as a loveable idiot, whereas in this film he just comes across as stupid. The film does have some good moments however, especially the scenes with Embry’s Rusty.

My favorite National Lampoon movie…a family vacation that is legendary.

Cozy in its own strange way. VEGAS VACATION is the kind of low-effort studio comedy that’s best suited for casual afternoon viewings on TBS, which is how I first saw it. Still very funny that Clark has such bad luck that he loses at softball gambling games like Coin Toss and War.

growing up is realizing these movies kinda suck and are a little misogynistic

C
Aggressively jokeless even by 90s Chevy Chase standards. Beverly D’Angelo looks hot as fuck in the sequined dress but that’s probably saying a lot more about me at the moment than anything else.

How I imagine a trip in Vegas will be this movie provides the actual experience 1. Getting $1600 outta my wallet 2. Losing my $1600 3. Not winning any car because I don’t have that type of luck 4. Fishing on the Hoover damn after losing my $1600 5. Getting a tetanus shot Also where in the hell is the damn dam tour?

Clark is at his worst in this one he gambles 23 thousand dollars away and then the movie wants me to feel bad for him cause he realises that gambling all that money was bad and he loves his family. Thank god cousin Eddie is in this one highlight of the movie.

worst of the series – i really couldn’t take to chevy chase in this, which is saying something considering my favourite work of his is the music video for paul simon’s ‘you can call me al’.

This is my favorite vacation movie aside from Christmas vacation, so that makes it my favorite one to watch when it’s not Christmas time. The humor in this movie is really good. Even between jokes there are smaller jokes that still get a chuckle out of you.

A chaotic Griswold adventure in Vegas lacks heart and originality, but offers nostalgic moments. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWr_FQbYt2A

Maybe everyone already knew this… But Clark Griswold is definitely the villain of this story. All the rest of his family is out there self-actualizing, and he’s addicting to gambling and then pulls them out of their new (awesome) lives. Wayne Newton is fucking awesome here. 💛 ♥️ WAYNIAC ♥️ 💛 Audrey’s cousin is surprisingly dope. Rusty’s plot is so ridiculous and I love it. I love how his story crosses into all the others (and everyone recognizes him). The…

This film is the dark horse of the 80s lampoons films but it is still decent. The story whilst being the weakest is still decent it felt they ran out of ideas for this one though. It has one continuous story in it for each of the characters which the other films never did but it worked for this one because of the setting. This film had some great moments but no where near the as good as the other…

Vegas Vacation.
