Hyper-masculine sleaze fest, swinging from point to point with little concern in the world but to radiate pure, overly-silly patriotic sentiments. But it’s so damn fun. Knows its strengths and uses them to the utmost extent; Sam Witwicky a rage-fuelled, neurotic moron with hilarious one-liners and audacious machine-clashing vivid spectacles. Plus, this one clearly intended to highlight treachery and post-catastrophe-driven paranoia in a more cruel form than the previous entries. The final hour is genuinely Bay at his most insane (Bad Boys 2-esque)—a true demonstration of how to end a Hollywood blockbuster in the most explosive manner possible—total Bayhem, you might say. But god, these films are so fucking funny too; full of personality and unbelievably idiotic lines, there’s plenty to chuckle about. runtime could be considered a little long, but the final hour more than makes up for it.

The 8th Wonder of the World I don’t think I’ll ever get how people don’t like this movie. Michael Bay goes all out with this one, some of the best action sequences ever and holy is that 3rd act an out of body experience. I’m not sure if I prefer this or The Last Knight, although they’re both the greatest action movies of all time for me.

Ending fight scene is so good made me think this movie was good. It’s crazy how Bay gets away with the blatantly pointless female characters he writes 😭. The first like 45 minutes is good exposition I suppose but then the next hour and a half is straight NOTHING. I had Nick pause and rewind the movie when Starscream dies because I thought he said “please kill me now” because he was being tortured. What a brutal and violent film. I’m glad the Autobots avenged my 9 year old self and family after we and our house got decimated during the Chicago debacle

Really enjoyed watching this again since I remember nearly nothing about it other than the fact it was a lovely summer’s day when my mum took me to see it at Vue. Optimus Prime is genuinely one of the coolest characters in cinema. Somehow Sam pulled an even bigger baddie than Megan Fox, tf!?

Still one of my fav movies and basically my comfort movie. They don’t make action movies like this anymore like just how unhinged and over the top these characters can be. The whole final act being an hour of pure transformers action is too good. Probably my favorite quote from my last watch “Who wants some chicken dinner now, bitch?
