I think this movie is very underrated. It’s earnest but not too earnest. It’s got comedic cinema scale and scope but not too much. I guess a fair critique might be that it’s funny…but not too funny. Also, Amy Schumer as a less-than-respectable female character doesn’t age very well but I think works mostly.

This movie was so bad actually would say it was terrible The only reason it got a 1 star rating was because of the acting skills from LeGoat James. I am seriously convinced that he wasn’t acting in this movie and that made this movie funny to me.

Don’t mind me just padding my Bill Hader stats This starts off rough but it does eventually have some funny moments I can’t lie. Tilda Swinton is funny af, Vanessa Bayer is great as always, and LeBron showing no mercy in 1 on 1 basketball vs Aaron was some of the funniest shit I’ve seen in a minute. But then there are also many jokes that just completely fall flat and it also stars Amy Schumer so yeah lol not great but it has it’s moments for sure

I don’t much care for Schumer’s whole comedy routine which is the showcase here, but there is some okay dramatic acting I was a little surprised by. Not to be the guy saying a female led comedy could have had more men in it, but the Hader/Lebron duo is incredible and really makes you think if he had been the Bill Murray in Space Jam 2 it could have soared.

Trainwreck. I didn’t remember hating this when it came out so I put it on and I couldn’t even make it through 30 minutes. Maybe the worst movie of Judd Apatow’s career, I’ll have to rewatch the Bubble to confirm.

This story line should get about two and a half stars, however the former cast of Saturday Night Live made this movie hilarious. Furthermore, the movie within the movie staring Daniel Radcliffe and Marisa Tomei was absolutely brilliant; one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.

Je m’attendais à bien mieux. Le problème majeur est la durée, encore un film qui aurait mérité de durer 30′ de moins, ce qui lui aurait apporté plus de dynamisme et moins d’ennui pour le spectateur. Il n’y a rien de nouveau, les situations sont banales et le pire, c’est que l’actrice principale est sans aucun relief et même chose pour son amant. LeBron James joue un rôle drôle, c’est même lui qui s’en sort le mieux, c’est un comble!

Trainwreck is funny, often very funny, even when it’s being spectacularly crude. But underneath all the sex jokes, drinking and general bad behaviour, it’s actually a remarkably conventional romantic comedy. It hits basically every beat you expect it to hit, right down to the misunderstanding, the breakup and the big romantic gesture. There’s nothing particularly new being said here about love or relationships, but Amy Schumer and Bill Hader are well suited and charming enough that it doesn’t really matter.

I don’t think Schumer’s a great person, but she gives a relatively charming performance with this. And Hader is a great romantic lead! A lot of this rom-com does work for me, regardless of my personal opinions on Amy the person. Sometimes bad people can [contribute to]/[be in] good stuff (don’t think her stand ups all that good though).

Some of the jokes in this movie are INSANE. Always has me hootin’ & hollerin’. Tilda Swinton is a fucking riot. There’s a hilarious joke about Judd Apatow in the latest Scary Movie and I’m so glad they were able to finally explain Apatow’s tone in all his movies.

To be honest, I just wasn’t a big fan of Trainwreck. Amy Schumer’s character is not well written and she’s kind of unlikable. Her performance isn’t great, and even though he outacts Schumer, this film is far from Bill Hader’s best work as well. As for the comedic bits, there isn’t a ton to like outside of the scenes that have LeBron James. All in all, this film was just kind of whatever in my opinion.
