This is the best thing Pixar has made in years. Great humor, great animation, so much heart (that didn’t feel forced). Warmed my heart to know that if they want to capture the feeling of their classic films, they totally can. Also how is nobody talking about how well they used the score? Full scenes where the emotions are fully driven by the music and barely any dialogue. I am so happy about this. More thoughts on the next Karstcast!

Only gets better as the years go by. Beautiful meditation on finding new meaning in life. Great, tactile feeling direction that brings every scene to life so vividly. Deliriously funny. Buzz acted kind of dumb though so this ruined my childhood and life.

This was boring and pointless. It felt like one big chase/adventure scene. Too many characters that some only have 1 line. No characters have progressed or learnt. It is like they are back to Toy Story 1. They all do “their” thing. It started off with Andy again just to remind us. Bonnie has zero character. I did get a huge laugh though out of the montage from the fluffy characters about getting key. ROFL. That was the highlight.

I just know this cartoon is for nostalgic people 😭😭😭 and I loved iiiittt😭😭😭 even though the best character is probably forky, ducky and bunny. It was interesting, but if the producers wanted to give an hint of feminisms for the whole narrative of “you don’t need a kid to look forward to” or something even close to that…it didn’t stick so well.

I’m sorry, this movie does NOT deserve the hate it gets. It’s such a visually stunning film …the first five minutes alone are animation GENIUS. Also, hot take: everyone acts like Bo Peep Yoko Ono’d Woody and the gang, but honestly? I’m glad Woody stayed with Bo…..because Bonnie was NOT treating that toy right. Let Woody live his life!!

The physics in the pipe-cleaner hands is earnestly impressive and life-like. Especially when the plastic utensil touches the dolls girl’s hand. Pay close attention to the physics of the pipe-cleaner hand and the subtle movement. Whoever animated that did an incredible job.

The animation is gorgeous, I like how it delves into the aftermath of Toy Story 3 and how the changing dynamics would affect Woody and his mindset. I understand the sentiment that this was completely unnecessary but people who say it’s bad boggle my mind. Although, it does feel they regress Buzz into how he was in the first film with how gullible he acts sometimes.
