The inverse of Up, where the ending is what’s always praised to no end and the rest of the film is kinda forgotten about. The good news is that unlike Up, this is a rich, thoroughly enjoyable story throughout the entire film. I’m a sucker for elaborate prison escapes and this film delivers, complete with a fantastic villain and great jokes. It’s not quite as good as 2 but it’s still a worthy successor that builds on 2’s themes in a beautiful way

Ah, this whole trilogy, man. This is the one trilogy, to me, that actually got BETTER with every film. Yeah, they’re pretty straightforward with no twists or plot complications, but that doesn’t matter. What does matter is that these movies and everything in them just feels right. Characters, scenarios, humor, morals, the endings. Especially the ending to this one. Not just the best way to end this movie, but to cap off the entire trilogy. There is ZERO need for a fourth one. Everything feels complete, everybody’s gonna be on their own way elsewhere, nothing else needs to be done to enhance it. It’s…just right.

This is the finale, the other 2 is just a spin off. In a serious note this franchise really had a deep connection with me, because as an empath I treat my childhood toys as humans with feelings, this movie made me search the whole house for a stuff toy gifted to me by my dad who passed on, and it made me cry. I LOVE THIS MOVIE FULLY!

There’s this scene at the end of the movie after Andy gives all his toys to Bonnie where Bonnie is waving bye and she moves woodys hand to wave with her and Andy gasps a little. I haven’t cried that hard in a while 😊

Esse sim foi um exemplo de filme magistral de Toy Story, com personagens muito bem construídos, um vilão que diferente do filme 2 funciona de maneira exemplar. Além de algumas subtramas que são bem exploradas e não meramente jogadas, a construção inteira do filme é muito bem construída. Além da introdução de uma nova protagonista é interessante para encerrar o arco do Andy é muito bom, além de que os backgrounds de alguns personagens realmente tocam o emocional e constroem um cenário intrigante. É um exemplar da coleção Toy Story que vale a pena assistir e reassistir. Vale cada segundo.

The villans are really enticing. The monkey is scary in a really well done way. The Scenes look busy and lived in. The story was really well written. Its amazing to see a totoro toy in this. Also they so just wanted a sad clown for sad flashbacks. That being said, this just isnt made for me.

I am the same age as Andy when this movie came out. The first movie came out when I was two and was one my first movie going experiences. Toy Story 2 came out when 4 months before my parents divorced and the same year my brother was born. I remember my father crying when Toy Story 3 came out. It’s been a decade since I watched this movie. It was the first time I watched as a father myself. I cried where my father cried, as Andy dropped off the toys and drove away. The first three movies will always mean the world to me.

O ritual de passagem definitivo sobre o luto e o desapego. A sequência da incineração funciona como um pacto silencioso de aceitação da morte, onde o maior conforto dos brinquedos é simplesmente dar as mãos. Mas a verdadeira catarse está no quintal de Bonnie: a dor de Andy ao entregar o Woody mostra que crescer exige sacrificar as partes mais puras da nossa infância para que elas possam ganhar vida na imaginação de outra pessoa. É o adeus mais doloroso do cinema porque não fala sobre brinquedos, mas sobre o momento exato em que viramos adultos.

Pour un film fait pour les enfants, c’est pas dégueu ( big up frootloopssuprematie ) Non, plus sérieusement, on m’avait vendu ce troisième opus comme non seulement le meilleur Toy Story, mais aussi comme l’un des meilleurs Pixar. Et je dois dire qu’il remplit toutes ces attentes, et d’une manière remarquable. Ce volet vient conclure l’histoire d’Andy avant son départ à l’université et donc son passage à l’âge adulte, qui implique forcément de laisser ses jouets derrière lui. Le thème…

I like how this film reconciles the end of Toy Story with previous Toy Story fans growing out of these movies as their childhood ends. I think it makes this a good swansong, and it means that adults who grew up with Toy Story can enjoy bidding farewell to this franchise, even if did come back less than a decade later.
