Thunderbolt’s biggest challenge wasn’t Bob it was that average sized wall that they could only lift using the power of friendship It had been a while since I saw a GOOD Marvel movie before this one came out. It felt like the enjoyment and magic was sucked out of it during the short-lived Kang arc. But then, I found myself laughing and falling in love with ALMOST all the characters. Cool und nett. Eine Gruppe aus altbekannten Superhelden arbeiteten alle für Val und sollen sich jetzt gegenseitig liquidieren, arbeiten aber zusammen und treffen einen neuen Gefährten. Die Gruppendynamik ist cool, Walker kann endlich einen guten Ruf bekommen und Yelena und ihr Dad haben sowieso mein Herz. Bucky ist immer schön zu sehen und die neuen oder alten anderen Charaktere bekommen jetzt auch ihr Spotlight. Mit Val werde ich immer noch nicht warm, eine etwas bösere und schlechtere Version von Fury? Ich freue mich auf mehr.

I feel like I’ve watched this film before a million times The rooms behind rooms in the mind, the fights, the character dynamics. What was crazy was the councilman’s sleek bob! And Florence being like shuttt up dad eye roll to a man that’s her age low key I liked it fine but idk why everyone thinks this amazing it was like the most surface level film about trauma and depression like nothing new at all was brought Anyways sorry about this I am being honest

if i had a nickel for every time i’ve seen this film at home with my mother next to me and she fell asleep right after the 1-hour mark i’d have 2 nickels. which isn’t a lot but i’m glad it happens because i wouldn’t like her to see me cry from the events in the second half of the movie

To be honest I thought this movie was rly sweet, esp w how it focuses on mental health issues. I enjoyed the exploration of depression and mental illness, even though it was a bit ham fisted at times. It felt like they were touching on addiction and it how feeds off of depression with both Bob and Yelena, and while I wish it dived a bit deeper into that, I was still pleasantly surprised at how it was explored at all. Action was fun, plot was tight, I still think Valentina is a weak ass wanna-be Fury but she gets the job done.

The less cgi the better the movie. Much more grounded than most other marvel movies. The emotional moments are real and are not broken by some silly funny haha gag. Truly Yelena’s movie with other people I care less about. Her hair and makeup team deserve a kiss. Evil VEEP! Julia was epic in this. I also loved Bob, but not blonde bob. I wish Bucky was more Bucky, he felt a little too dry here. I hate off-brand Captain America!!!! Fire him! Ava was… there. Lowkey to watch this after Brand New Day made it feel like Marvel is getting really into their wellness and mental health era. Kind of like Encanto where there’s no overarching villain, but there’s an argument for one who has unsolved emotional trauma.
