I’ve decided I’ll do a sort of marathon of the MCU throughout the few months, I’ll only watch whichever ones I like or curious to revisit and skip over the ones I don’t care about. This one’s pretty underrated, back when Thor was treated with genuine sincerity. Chris is amazing, but Tom Hiddleston steals the show as he does in the franchise as a whole. Film stars and ends really well, everything in between is decent. The earth stuff is not bad but it lacks the meat for it to really stick beyond it being cute. Score is beautiful, way too many Dutch angles. Decent movie!

Yep, nothing really has changed for me when it comes to the first Thor. I definitely liked Hemsworth more this time compared to my first time watching the movie, the scenes with Odin banishing Thor or revealing the truth of Loki’s origins are well acted and the first act overall is fun..I don’t like the movie once Thor is on Earth. There’s funny bits here and there involving Thor that I liked when he’s on Earth. The rest? Not so much. It’s still the worse movie of Phase One and is now in my bottom five of the MCU movies.

Loki’s suicide attempt is so devestating, he was going through an identity crisis after finding out who he truly was. And after that, realizing Odin will never validate him or see him as his successor. I think Loki is such a beautifully constructed villain and his character development is incredible. ALSO CAN WE TALK ABOUT WALK BY FOO FIGHTERS IN THE CREDITS??? Literally stayed for the whole thing. Soooo good. I don’t understand the low ratings for this movie, it’s a perfect cozy action movie. Love Thor always 🩷

Génial ! J’ai absolument adoré l’ambiance autour des mythes vikings. Les effets spéciaux sont super bien réalisés et le scénario est très bon. Le développement de Thor sur Terre est bien orchestré à l’aide d’un rythme agréable du film et de bonnes scènes d’action.

Really enjoyed this movie, finished it on the plane in one sitting (rare). I don’t really have much to say… the movie and good and Liam Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston was the perfect cast for this. It was a perfectly balanced movie; very funny, action-based, and tug your heartstrings vibe. Chills when Thor became worthy of Mjolnir again hehe but feels bad for Loki though. Won’t really comment on much as there would be more to come in future movies but, I like this movie 🙂
