   Good chemistry between Jason and Dave, and the action sequences were super cool. Story didn’t grip me or anything, and it coulda been funnier, but I enjoyed watching it.

Some gnarly kills but that’s all it’s got going for it imo. Not funny and fairly racist. Simple easy watch – exactly what you would expect when you see the trailer. 40/100

   This action part of this was good enough to me it’s honestly hard to mess that up when you put Jason Momoa & Dave Bautista in a movie together but I have to be honest the script and mainly the comedy didn’t do it for me at all there are a good amount of jokes in this and I don’t think I found any of them funny except maybe one. 5.5/10 2026 Ranked First Time Watched 2026

   Jason Momoa loves his own ass and, with an ass like that, who could blame him. And as a little bonus, you can even hear him shaking his own ding dong. I wonder what objects the foley artist used. Soto goes for a charismatic and appealing entertainment package that tries, perhaps a little more than just being “fun for the evening,” but unfortunately it somewhat fails on its own, which makes the film’s runtime feel long, even though the action works and the comedy popping up around every corner is a delight for eyes and ears…(not really, there’s only couple of good jokes).     You know how when you shop for stuff on Amazon they have their cheaper versions of popular products they sell under their own store brand? They’re called “Amazon Basics.” I buy their hand soap refills instead of Dial sometimes. Mango and coconut water scent. Not bad. It finally dawned on me while watching The Wrecking Crew that Amazon uses their same business model for movies, especially action movies. Play Dirty is Amazon Basics Payback. G20 is Amazon Basics White House Down. Crime 101 is Amazon Basics Heat. And The Wrecking Crew is Amazon Basics Lethal Weapon. Pretty much none of them are as good as the real thing. But they’re close enough to the name brand version — and most importantly cheaper than the name brand version — that you’re willing to pick them when you see them on the shelves. Or your screen, in this case.

    WHAT AN AWESOME MOVIE!

    This movie is the best feel good movie I’ve seen in a long while.
    The dynamic between Momoa & Batista is exactly how siblings treat each other.
    The best part (to me.) was how the film showed the dynamic of the way Hawaiian families treat each other and treat the land.

    I can’t gush about this movie enough…10/10

    80’s buddy cop movie, updated.
    This reminds me a lot of buddy cop movies from the 80s or Hobbs and Shaw. But this movie also has a functioning dysfunctional dynamic between the main characters. A bad guy that works, phenomenal casting, and also great selection of music. It’s simply a good enough time and I’m happy that this got made. It’s great to see Dave doing something like this and he gets some room to breathe. Jason compliments him very well and the two of them have a natural enough flow. I highly recommend this movie and I enjoyed it a lot.

    This film doesn’t pass the Bechdel test, which is disappointing in 2026 yet unsurprising for your usual action film. The women were great in the film but they weren’t given much to play with from the script, it was all focussed on the male characters.
    The “comedy” is cringy. There must be over 10 fat “jokes” if you’re going to tell a fat joke, at least make it funny and have some originality but most of them were just calling people fat f*cks and then expecting us to laugh. It was so repetative it made me think the writer is fatphobic or dealing with internalised fatphobia, either way it takes you away from the film.

    This movie was actually a better popcorn action movie than most of these poictacal thrillers come hijack come heists movies of late that are ok for a shelf filler as I would say in my video shop days. I would recommended it for exactly what it is and the known stars. Both well known for brawn.Funny and watchable to the end, if you dont get bored with the non stop violence. 7/10

    “The Wrecking Crew” is aptly named.

    This action flick, for me, early on wrecked any chance that I’d actually enjoy this film. I’ll put my hand up and say I’m sick and tired of the gratuitous violence oozing out of Hollywood. The light, jokey tone of this film is at odds with oftentimes really ugly violence. Entirely smashing someone’s upper teeth against a table in the opening scenes is one such example. It’s not funny; it’s not okay, its not entertaining, no matter who it’s done to.

    Regrettably, given how violent US society is, perhaps I should not be surprised, but it’s also one of the reasons I don’t watch a great deal of US cinema these days.

    Beyond that, the actions of the formulaic variety and the bro buddy back story has long since ossified into a cliche.

    In summary, tone it down, Hollywood. Excessive violence is not okay. If you want to make a light-toned action flick, then try doing just that.

    This is a good sequel to the South Park episode. A relatively uninspired action buddy comedy where they just throw in that the guy is a cop and the other guy is a seal. Or are they both seals? You know…there’s a lot you don’t need to know in this. You don’t need to watch it but you can and you won’t be surprised nor disappointed.
