the best part is when neal tells charlie he’s going to make a great psychiatrist someday and charlie is like, “nah I think i’m going to go into the family business”, implying he’s going to kill his dad someday to become santa. how i love some christmas family friendly entertainment!

I love the way this movie gives adults permission to believe again, to return to that magical part of youth where anything is possible and the best things actually might happen. It reminds me not to be so jaded. My stepdad could’ve been Santa instead of an abusive psychopath, but I can’t mourn a life that never was. Hell, I would’ve settled for Neal. He seems harmless. And it is, of course, through Neal that we see it’s possible to reclaim some of the magic of Christmas and of the time before responsibility and baggage. A great movie for feeling good any time of year!

As much as I do love this movie, I cant stand Tim Allens face. It is so punchable. Otherwise, 5 stars. One of the best Christmas family movies. Favorite Quote: Charlie: Whoa, Dad! You’re flying! Scott Calvin: It’s okay, I’m used to it. I lived through the ’60s.

I don’t know why everyone is hating on this movie in the reviews. I think it’s the most nostalgic Christmas movie . I also think people need a reminder that this is a childrens movie and it doesn’t have to make sense plus half of the adult movies they claim to like also don’t make sense but they label it as “pure cinema”. 🤷🏾♀️

The Santa Clause isn’t a good movie, but it’s my movie. I can describe, beat by beat, so many scenes from this and the next two sequels. I can’t tell you why, all I can tell you is that my friends beg me to stop talking about it. This has invaded my psyche so deep, I’ve had Charlie’s stepdad appear in a recurring nightmare (not the subject of the nightmare, but he’s there). There is just something alluring to Tim…

This was a surprisingly good movie, just a feel good movie that’s perfect to watch around Christmas time. Tim Allen’s performance carries the movie, although some of the plot points are a bit dumb, but what can you say it’s a cheesy Christmas movie. Not much to say here, solid movie, great to watch around the holidays with family.

So what… the parents think presents magically appear under the tree and are convinced they did it? If they don’t believe in Santa, but they don’t bring the presents, what do they think is happening?

This charming holiday film captures the magic of Christmas with a heartwarming story and Tim Allen’s endearing performance. While it leans on familiar tropes, its nostalgic charm and themes of belief and family make it a delightful watch for all ages, perfect for cozy festive gatherings. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USuSe2uhEis

Christmas in July continues with another classic. The vibes of this movie are just right. They do well mixing in the realness of things with the magic of the North Pole. Wild that it’s as simple as knocking Santa off the ladder to take over the whole enterprise.

The Santa Claus – 7.2 – A fun Christmas movie about a man hurting Santa and becoming Santa himself. Nobody believes him and he has to deliver presents to all the children of the world. His son does not care for his father, but when he becomes Santa, he loves his father. I do not like that it is like an on and off switch with his son knowing that he is Santa and special now is the reason he…

It’s been a while since I had last seen The Santa Clause, and it was a lot more enjoyable than I remembered! I used to write this film off as a run-of-the-mill Christmas movie, but it’s actually really fun! Maybe I like it more now because I’m an adult and I understand all of the adult humor now, but for whatever the reason, I’m glad my love recommended we watch this together. The Santa Clause is kind of a backwards…

“The Santa Clause” provides at least one valuable service: It explains exactly how Santa is able to get down chimneys that are too small for him, and how he is able to enter apartments through hot water radiators and heating vents. There is also an intriguing theory, handled in a throwaway line of dialogue, to explain how Santa is able to visit everybody’s house on Christmas Eve. It may have something to do with parallel time tracks, or other concepts…
- Synopsis
- On Christmas Eve, divorced dad Scott Calvin and his son discover Santa Claus has fallen off their roof. When Scott takes the reins of the magical sleigh, he finds he is now the new Santa, and must convince a world of disbelievers, including himself.
