This shit was so ass bro. Tbh I was expecting to be a minority enjoyer here as a huge Jet Li fan. But nahh ofc he spends 90 percent of this as a CGI zombie. Maria Bello has gotta be one of the WORST recastings ever. I mean if there’s no Rachel Weisz just write her character out broski what are we doin Zero mummies btw. And then there’s the dude who plays their son. A fucking cornball. My eyes were permanently rolled in my head. They even stole all my man Brenden Fraser’s charisma away. DO NOT recommend

Tomb of the Dragon is the weaker installment out of the Mummy series. I do have my likes and dislikes which is what I wrote below: ✴ Likes: – Combining the story within the Terra Cotta Warrior with them being cursed. A different outlook from the previous 2 films. Also, it got me interested in wanting to learn more about the Terra Cotta. – Jet Li as the Emperor and turning into the 3 headed Dragon. – Loved the visuals with the whole clay/stone look. – Jonathan and Rick’s sarcasm. Still keeping the laughter level going. Not by much but still puts a smile on my face. – Depending on my mood I either like the Yeti or I don’t..…

Starring – Female 4 Front: The Ultimate Kick Ass Warrior Michelle Yeoh There is nothing particularly awful about this movie. Jet Li’s casting as the new mummy is a stroke of genius, as is Michelle Yeoh’s; it’s thrilling to see the two of them back in action, this time pitted against one another and the background to the mummy is fascinating. The film’s choreography is really good, if ultimately forgettable; the same can be said of Yeoh’s character unfortunately. Brendan Fraser continues to give it his all in his performance. The cinematography, especially during the snowy mountain scene, is the greatest it has been in the entire trilogy. I had forgotten how graphic the movie gets (the whole melting and…

Really confused as to how there’s so many reviews for a film which doesn’t exist. Everyone knows that there were only two films in the Mummy franchise: The Mummy (1999) and The Mummy Returns (2001). Tomb of the Dragon Emperor? Never heard of her.

Good showcase of how Hollywood had gone to crap. Everything is CGI first. An evil CGI Chinese army fights another CGI Chinese army, while the villain turns into a CGI dragon and shoots CGI fireballs. A very different movie compared to the earlier two. A product of another time. Feels like plastic. Rachel Weisz dodged a bullet.

This is firmly a So Bad It’s Good for me. There’s some decent action and fights. Pretty cool seeing Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh fight a couple times. It’s also simply one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen. After two hours of one outrageous moment after the next—including a cartoon Jet Li vomiting lava—the entire film concludes with a text-on-screen joke like it was the end of Animal House. Just exquisite stuff.

The script is chock full of references to Rick and Evie working as spies during WWII. Why the hell didn’t they make that movie?

A wildly unnecessary sequel that somehow forgets what made the original so much fun. Brendan Fraser is still giving it everything, but the charm is buried under CGI, bland mythology and action that feels strangely weightless. The first one had adventure. This one has a budget.

I don’t like Fraser as a leading man– at least not in this. He has this weird, forced, way of talking that’s super loud. It’s like he’s feigning charisma and taking charge, but it just sounds like he’s shouting for no reason. Love to see Chinese mythology, but it pretty much goes to waste. Complete misused of Jet Li as well. Why have him if you’re not going to show off his athletic ability? Same with Yeoh. Marginally better than the second one, but yeah, I don’t like these Mummy movies. I find them all very boring.

As much as I LOVE Brendan Fraser and I am so happy he is back in this series, this one is not like the others AT ALL. In fact, they should have kept this one in the vault. It should have never existed. The biggest problem: WHO TF IS THAT CAUSE THAT IS NOT EVIE. ARE WE SUPPOSED TO JUST IGNORE THAT. There’s so much I want to enjoy here but it’s just lacking that special sauce the first 2 had. This is definitely the weakest of the trilogy. I don’t think I’ve watched this one since initial release so had forgot most of why that was. From the jump I was surprised at the lack of Rachel Weisz. Of course there are some scheduling conflicts and recasts occasionally across all of Hollywood, but, with the success of the chemistry between Weisz…

Liked it more than the 2nd Mummy. New Evie wasn’t the same but was fine. They also got Jet Li’s likeness less time than they did for the Rock. I think I saw this movie in theatres with my dad, Kate and Aunt Barbara but who’s to say MV

Radio Silence, please retcon The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor as just a book that Evelyn wrote in The Mummy 4. The Yetis look okay, Michelle Yeoh gives this movie a point, and Brendan still has some of his Rick charm in here. Other than that, damn, this film is bad. Recasting Weisz is a disastrous decision like, she is half the reason these films were good. The acting is paper thin, and the CGI is awful; this film…

The thing about putting Michelle Yeoh and Jet Li in your movie is that then you wisely have put Michelle Yeoh and Jet Li in your movie. I’m having a blast. We’ll even let them gratuitously rip off the tequila glass shot from Hard Boiled. In a movie with mummies, yetis, and dragons, I can’t suspend disbelief that their kid has gone from being plucky and annoying and British to an American large adult son (still annoying though!).

I’ll be honest, this one was close to being a guilty pleasure for me. But at the end of the day this one’s a mess. There are a couple of fun action setpieces and the villain is effective at being a massive threat. But that comes at the cost at making the villain extremely bland in spite of jet li’s solid performance. Rick & evelyn’s chemistry is so weak in this one since her actress got swapped out. Alex has even…

I had to watch the trilogy even though they’re a bit ridiculous in plot like why are they always tomb raiding and then are surprised when they “accidentally” wake up the undead. Stop being such greedy colonialists! At least this one took place in Asia, and it was cool to have Jet Li play the emperor and Michelle Yeoh play the girl that got away…sort of. The backstory to explain the origin of the terra cotta soldiers was creative, and…

The worst of the Mummy trilogy. Actually, the movie has a pretty decent concept just poor dialogue… and the chemistry between Rick and Evelyn is gone. Rachel Weisz is replace with Maria Bello (a good actress) and the movie suffers. Rick and Evelyn’s son Alex is now grown up and following in the family’s footsteps. Could have been a decent movie, but isn’t. No recommendation. Rick: “Look kid, I’ve put down more mummies in my time than you.” Alex: “You put down one mummy, Dad.” Rick: “Yeah. Same mummy… twice.”
