   Throughout the whole movie I had tears in my eyes. Consistently rich in emotions, so fucking funny insanely gorgeous People have issue with the technology message thing but I think this is the only example where it’s really really worked, there are few instances where it’s a little preachy but instead of going “technology bad” the movie shows how good it is for connections. I mean fuck it ends on using technology in an insanely wholesome way, so all the people saying the message is annoying just wanna be upset and not actually get it The comedy here is absolutely fantastic for the most part. there’s a lot of talent here but besides talent there’s so just obvious heart from everyone working on this Absolutely loved

    Despite the recently overdone-ish genre of the fight against AI and machines, this released in 2021, just before the great eclipse of AI taking over a year or two later. The Mitchells vs. the Machines is an underrated, wholesome story about familial values and a father-daughter relationship. It has probably got one of my favorite family dynamics on screen, oozing with heart and artistic love. The end credits are also so, so, so cute.

    I do think some jokes are cringy and outdated even 5 years later but the animation style is great and I think the story is really good too. I was going off to college around the time this got out so I’m a bit emotionally connected to it.

    When film snobs talk about scene economy this movie should be what they reference. Even the silly action scenes build on theme and character. I doubt a single film critic could write a slicker, smarter screenplay.

    Una película q no defrauda. Es visualmente extraña pero creativa y humana, encima ayuda mucho visualmente a la película, teniendo en cuenta q trata d la inteligencia artificial y los robots, contrastando mucho con los pequeños detalles hechos a mano. Lo único flojo q destacaria d esta película es q la parte del centro comercial es un poco floja y el mensaje también, pero no le quita mérito a la buena película q es.

    L’animation est très sympa, on reconnait bien le style de Sony. 🔥 Y’a quelques bonne blague et les perso sont attachant. ❤ Les musiques sont cool aussi 🎵🎶 La ref à kill bill à un moment 🙌 Et le message est fort, il faut croire en sois et croire en les autres. Et il ne faut pas avoir honte d’avoir des sentiment aussi. Vraiment un super film d’animation

    The Mitchells vs. the Machines is very fun. It’s quirkchungus millennial core, in a good way. I couldn’t help but notice that the boy sounded a lot like Brick Heck. As someone who appreciates film a lot and has had interest in a career there before, this one was impactful. My roommate clocked that Katie was lesbian like 10 minutes in. I never thought Furbies would see the light of day ever again. 7.5/10

    it turns out I don’t hate this as much as I thought I did. like genuinely, it went from half a star to three stars which is pretty impressive. I think the first time I watched it I want really paying attention, but actually watching it this time I did enjoy it. (plus I love Maya Rudolph.) And the son was cute bless him I love weird people
