The Man from Ter-Ron-Oh, or The Man from To-Ron-Toe if you’re Kevin Hart. Another mediocre netflix film, don’t even bother.

You know you are in a bad spot when nobody in your movie knows how to properly pronounce Toronto…

This film would’ve been a sure hit if they had the Kevin Hart + Dwayne Johnson duo again lol

sometimes a movie can be bad even if woody harrelson is in it, trying his hardest to make it less bad

Woody Harrelson and Kevin Hart have alot of onscreen chemistry. This was a fun time waster. Not much to say here. Pretty much what I expected and that’s not a bad thing in this instance. This feels kinda like it was supposed to be Kevin Hart and The Rock again but Harrelson was like nah I got this.

Bit of logic won’t kill you Patrick. Whose glorious fucking idea was it to name the movie “The Man from Toronto” and cast Woody in it. Let go through some equation:- Woody + Toronto = Nonsense ∝ What the fuck is this. Woody + Texas = Southern accent, higher potential ∝ amazing, entertaining What I mean is the plot is for shit and I wasn’t expecting anything from it anyways after all it’s a Patrick Hughes movie. So you got a half-assed bad guy, dickhole for depth when it comes to character development because everything literally everything has to be funny and generic action scenes performed by well-trained stunt guys. But… I would still watch it because there is Kevin and…

Loved this. Just a dumb, stupid buddy “cop” comedy. It does help that I mostly enjoy Kevin Hart, and absolutely adore Woody Harrelson. That’s why I even picked this up in the first place. Been trying to watch all of the Woody movies I may have missed throughout the years, and this is one I hadn’t even heard of. Turns out it was a Netflix movie, so that makes sense. I don’t watch a lot of streaming services. I’m honestly suprised my library even had this, but they tend to get everything eventually. Love them. Support your local libraries! 💚 This movie is completely ridiculous, and full of shenanigans. It’s silly and over the top. It’s a movie that has…

i love going into letterboxd and seeing my friends logging their French new wave films with profound and beautiful reviews while i go and log the “woody harrelson and the tiny annoying guy punching a lot of bad guys” movie. i regret to admit that i do not hate the big bald guy and kevin hart genre and am a strong supporter of the jason stathamification of mr. woody

Well, it wasn’t as awful as I expected, but it wasn’t as good as it could have been either. Several of the jokes and antics made me chuckle, with only one moment making me burst out laughing, but for the most part, the premise and everything was so generic that it made the whole movie underwhelming, with certain gags like “Air Boxing” being the worst of the bunch. Kevin does what he does best, but the material doesn’t help him at all. Woody is good at times, but it’s evident that this screenplay was written with Statham in mind, and I spent the whole movie wondering not just about how Jason could have made things better, but the entire character…

Barely made me laugh, the action was awful, and I’m genuinely struggling to find a single positive. Somehow, even the runtime felt like it was taking my soul away from me.

The company: 10 stars. The movie: 1.5 stars. The dry humor: 2.5 stars. Overall: 2 stars. No contact boxing… I love this concept. “You never do what you say.” Well, at least I got something to take away from this movie. Conclusion: watch this movie with the best company you’ve got.

When I finished I laughed because I just wasted 2 hours of my life. It is so unbelievably bad that it should just be a comedy. The jokes are awful and corny, it is a great way to pass time and have nothing to show for it. Overall awful movie, 4/5

My baby. I could seriously watch this everyday for the rest of my life. The most iconic duo. An amazing soundtrack and jokes everywhere. Amazing action scenes that never get old. So many funny references they’ll change your vocabulary. I want to show it to everyone in existence.

This movie was so stupid I honestly had to look up if AI wrote the script Not gonna lie it’s so dumb that it honestly made me laugh a decent amount. Typical Kevin hart character but making woody a Jason Statham kinda character was cool

Honestly pretty fun but the ending was so bad Haha. I liked it up until that point. CGI was the worst I’ve ever seen but it honestly doesn’t matter in a movie like this. Didn’t hate it as much as I expected.

Quirky, at times funny, at times irritating, The Man From Toronto is a movie that doesn’t try to do anything new and ultimately washed over me, but also isn’t a painful experience. Regrettably, I really didn’t enjoy Hart’s screentime (I just don’t jive with his comedic style, which given this is a Hart movie, is a problem for the whole thing), but it has its moments. Nothing groundbreaking and nothing disastrous, there are worse ways to spend an evening. It…
