Still totally holds up for me. A lot of fun! Love the team dynamic here, all the members have their time to shine and be funny. Eddy Norton plays a total fucking prick and part of me feels that it’s real because he was contractually obligated to be in this. The heists and action are well-done, brings me back to playing the PS2 game for hours as a kid. Overall, an enjoyable ride, definitely worth a watch. Caught the start of this on TV with my sister and we just had to watch the whole thing. We used to watch this film with my dad when we were young and you know what, it still holds up. Not even a guilty pleasure. Solid, nostalgic fun for me. Reminds me how much I love a good heist story — especially when the dickhead with the silly moustache gets the karma he deserves.

Not really a huge heist film fan, but now I realize there are levels to this. The cast is pretty stacked, but I feel like the characters aren’t very fleshed out. I didn’t really care about their rivalry, and the villain was pretty disappointing as well. It didn’t suck too much, but this just didn’t land well for me.

This movie stinks. It’s got some cool action sequences and heist movies are fun but the performances are just lazy. The cute, childish dialogue is terrible. I don’t know what’s going on with Norton’s facial hair… and for me? Wahlberg, Seth Green, Mos Def, and Statham could all make the “Actually These Guys Are Bad Actors Top Ten List.” I was pumped to see D. Sutherland but he gets waxed pretty quick. Don’t rewatch.

This was a very average movie. Happened to stumble upon it at a thrift store with no idea of its existence. It was a nice little film. I thought some of the production quality in Italy was iffy but thats only the beginning of the movie. I thought Edward Norton had the best role in this film everyone else did fine but nothing to writhe home about to be honest.

I remember watching this for the first time on HBO years ago. Amazing cast, mid performances from all of them, Edward Norton as a nutjob works most of the time and it doesn’t work here, young Jason Statham so no attachment with his character. Wahlberg was fine, Theron was hot and the best thing in this movie. Oh by the way the original movie and the Minis were wayyyy better. I don’t remember what it was about except Charlize’s dad was killed by the nutjob.

I will always associate this movie with FX as a part of their DVD on TV programming. While far from great, I had never realized that this movie bridged the gap between the Oceans and Fast movies. It’s even wilder that F. Gary Gray and Jason Statham would both go onto to play a part in the future Fast franchise. But seriously, what is going on with the cast in this movie? Everyone feels like they are phoning it in or drifting by in what should be a more lively heist film.

Not as nearly iconic as an Ocean’s movie. But definitely a good watch. Adding it to the lineup of movies my kids will watch. There were some points where all the editing of the clips was just so overwhelming in the beginning that I found myself laughing with my dad about it. But in the end, it was blended really well. Very simple, one discrepancy with the timing of the chase and the helicopter bit, but I’ve seen weirder. P.S. For Bryan: Baldie Jason wasn’t super insufferable in this movie.
