I screened this at our theater before opening day. My younger co-workers loved it, but I just didn’t see the appeal. All they did was talk about how hot Elisha Cuthbert was while I paid attention to everything else. The movie made me uneasy, and not for the reasons it wanted me to be, so I just couldn’t get into it. Grade: C

“Goddamn Peterson, haven’t seen your black ass in ages!” First time seeing this in about 20 years and its better than it gets credit for. Olyphant comes in on fire and just hits home run after home run in every scene he’s in. Emile and Elisha are great too, and the rating may be slightly helped by younger me’s crush on her but this is just a fun movie.

One of my favorite movies – sue me. A Klay Thompson 37-point-quarter-level heater from Elisha Cuthbert. Somehow, Paul Dano and Timothy Olyphant are in this! Also has an incredible soundtrack featuring the likes of “Under Pressure”, “The Killing Moon”, and “Baba O’Riley”. Criminally underrated.

Bumping this up a half star, I love it. Excellent soundtrack, an assless Timothy Olyphant, Elisha Cuthbert. It gets compared a lot to the early 00s teen sex comedies but I think it has a lot more in line with the 80s teen comedies.

a highly simplistic sex comedy from the early 2000s, that i just felt hasn’t aged very well, at all. the soundtrack is kinda fun, and i almost enjoy the trashy, tasteless feel this has. it was moderately entertaining, but overall just not great. some themes throughout kinda had misogynist undertones, plus it’s just not very consistent, the first half being a lighthearted romance, and the second half kinda just ditching that, and turns into some weird porn production. mostly inoffensive, but also gets quite dull at parts.
