A simple, unusual idea executed beautifully. Cate Blanchett is the most stunning goddess to have ever graced us. The scene of her in a red backless dress, dancing to try and seduce, is the pinnacle of beauty. Also, if I were struck by lightning 7 times, it would be all I talked about, too.

Um filme espetacular. A narrativa é totalmente diferente de tudo o que eu já vi, e complexa, dramática e psicologia. O vai e vem entre o passado e o presente também me agradou muito. Recomendo muito.

Watched this film when I was younger and decided to rewatch and man this film really brings out the essence that nothing is forever in such a beautiful and emotional way. First time I’ve felt so emotional toward a movie in a long time.

Thinking that I had tapped into something unique, I was planning on describing this as a lesser Forrest Gump but apparently every other soul on this app has already made that connection. Sigh. As such, I have challenged myself to make a connection that hasn’t been made before. For instance, in the movie an old man recounts how he had been struck by lightning seven times. This is of course a reference to Fincher’s lesser known movie, Seven which came out before this.

할머니, 할아버지의 모습으로 태어나 어린 아이의 모습으로 늙어가는 삶이 더 좋다고 생각했다. 마지막에 여주인공이 벤자민을 돌보며 ‘할머니’라고 칭하는 부분이 감동적이었다.

L’idée est excellente, mais on peut avoir l’impression que Fincher veut absolument faire de chaque étape de la vie de Benjamin une leçon philosophique. D’ailleurs, le personnage de Benjamin manque d’émotion, je l’ai trouvé trop lisse. Le film est trop long, les 2h47 se ressentent par moment.
