I recognize film snobs have strong opinions against the MCU, but given that it’s a stupid ass opinion, I’ve elected to ignore it >:D

The Avengers, or as I’d like to call it ‘How to go from a 36 year old to a 12 year old in 2.5 hours’, is this generation’s Star Wars. Or Back to the future. Or Indiana Jones. It doesn’t matter, pick one, it’s iconic. This will not be a rational review. It never could have been as I am a silly comic book geek. Whether good or bad, it would simply be impossible for me to approach this film rationally. I am so happy that at the centre of this film lies a big, thunderously thumping heart. Technically this film is practically perfect. There are so many unbelievably impressive set pieces you get to see, it is simply stunning.…

WOW! It just never disappoints. This is what CBM and especially team up movies should with grand action sequences but also making real world building moments. There’s so many subtle throwaway lines that just set up the next 15 years of this franchise. Side Note: The Chitauri got worse aim than stormtroopers

Fun rewatch! Showed our daughter tonight, I had only seen it once and it was during lockdown in 2020. It’s pretty shallow thematically, and generally the visuals are very flat and TVish (like everyone says), but it functions remarkably well. I’ve seen so many examples of movies that simply fail to provide the character dynamics, emotional beats, and character arcs that this thing does for basically every character. And that moment in the final set piece when they are working together may be the single best visual representation of super hero action a movie has ever pulled off. Good stuff.

Tony stark has a serious lust for shawarma & I miss when cap was a confused old man who didn’t know anything about the 21st century

Avengers, more like averagengers…. Pretty ok but very mid at the same time, just about average. I liked the hulk in it, but it definitely needed more spider man. I enjoyed the black widow as well, but tony shart is a prick. Very average

The first of the “Everyone is here” superhero movies. A great introduction to every character if you missed any of the phase 1 films. Great action scenes and shots. Good jokes throughout. Everything a superhero movie should be. 4/5

ROAD TO DOOMSDAY #6 YESSSSS I’ve been waiting for something like this! Seeing all these characters finally come together and fight side by side was so satisfying. The chemistry between everyone is the best part. Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and Hulk all have such different personalities, and watching them clash while slowly becoming a team was so much fun. The final battle in New York was also incredible and really felt like the payoff to everything leading up to this. THAT ONE SHOT SCENE WAS 😫

i love this movie sm i literally love the fact that loki was tryna aura farm by catching clint’s arrow and then he got blew up 5 secs later

I miss when Marvel was so genius and was sowing the seeds of Infinity War a decade in advance. They could never pull this level of Chekhov’s firing squad in modern Marvel.

Scene of the movie: nick fury putting blood on the cards for the avengers to fight for. Especially cause they just got separated and beaten. I’ll forever miss u 🥹 Beginning middle end -Don’t get me wrong every one of these are peak just one has to be the best Beginning was great with Loki coming and taking the teseract setting up such and big threat. Nick also gets his time to shine, he’s just to cool, and the introduction…

The gci difference from this movie to endgame is always shocking

“There’s only one God ma’am, and I’m pretty sure He doesn’t dress like that.” If Pulp Fiction has S tier dialogue this movie has high A tier. The scene transitions are so seamless and smooth through the dialogue it’s incredible how well this movie flows between scenes especially in the first half. The team dynamic in this is so great. The scene where they’re arguing in the room with the sceptre is SO good. The Battle of New York is one of the greatest final battles in anything ever. The 360 Avengers and one take shots are especially great.

“There was an idea. The idea was to bring together a group of remarkable people, see if they could become something more. See if they could work together when we needed them to. To fight the battles we never could.” On a MCU scale, this is borderline epic. Possibly even remarkable. The first time we see the original six working together still holds up fourteen years later. Watching all these characters finally realize they have to work together in order…

“I have an army. “We have a Hulk.” Além disso, a Iniciativa Vingadores…

‘he’s my brother’ ‘he’s killed 80 people’ ‘he’s adopted’ i’ve decided to watch all of the MCU films in chronological order for reasons unbeknownst to me, BUT Avengers is easily the best film so far. all of the hero’s personalities are much more digestable in small doses, and them being able to bounce off one another makes the film click better than the origin stories so far. loki a kinda ass villain tho. the last 40 minutes is just pure energy, a…

This movie was better on the rewatch, surprisingly. Classic “we’re building a team” build, middle part that kept the action and an iconic final battle scene. This movie was a moment in time. This was still when Marvel could balance witty banter and action without it being corny.

-The Avengers- 96% MCU Rewatch -2026- This is the film that changed everything for the MCU and really Hollywood in general. After this point, everyone wanted their own cinematic universe and their own “Avengers” style movie. This film was groundbreaking in so many ways. It’s amazing that it worked out the way that it did. Bringing together so many different franchises in such a seamless way that felt authentic and not forced is quite the achievement. I feel like many…

now THIS is an avengers movie. everyone had their moment, the chemistry was perfect, loki was being a dramatic little freak, and watching them all slowly come together never gets old. the final battle in new york still eats. no notes. also tony stark sacrificing himself after spending the entire movie being accused of only caring about himself??? unfortunately i have feelings.

3.8⭐️ The team dynamic in this movie is great. Having the Avengers turn against each other for a while is such a good idea, because they’re all so incompatible and different as people, which makes it feel earned when they still come together into this close-knit team to protect New York, and Earth in general. The movie also does a great job juggling that many characters without anyone getting lost, and Loki really works as the villain here. The final…
