When I was a little kid, growing up solidly middle class, I had a lot of toys. But my parents, mindful of the expanding clutter that comes from the accumulation of “stuff,” presented me with an ultimatum: if I went long enough without playing with my toys then I’d have to get rid of them before I could get any new ones. They didn’t care what I did with them: throw them out, sell them at a yard sale, give them away to Goodwill… it didn’t matter to them. However the message was clear. Inactivity meant they were gone. Now, there was an even far more insidious (sinister, even) option for my “unwanted” toys and that was to give them…

Y’know, this gets off to a pretty good start. Then Peter and Gwen break up and get back together like six different times. And Jamie Foxx’s Electro goes from misunderstood victim to mustache-twirling villainy in less than five minutes. And Peter’s dad has a secret subway base (with a subway car that rises out of the ground for absolutely no reason). And Harry Osborn turns into an Angry Troll Doll (™). And then I want to turn it off.

Peter lowkey was playing crossyroad irl just to get friendzoned. First 5 minutes was edited like a TikTok. Harry might have the most fuckass trim in all of Spider-Man. I hate that the implication that only Peter Parker could have turned into Spider-Man cus he’s got blood compatible with the spider venom. So stupid. The point is anytime could be Spider-Man not that he’s genetically predisposed to being Spider-Man cus his dad was an epic scientist or whatever. Dumb dumb…

Still has the most dynamic and fun-looking swinging in all the spiderman movies. A film that has a lot to do but still manages to not really do anything for me. The plot is wayyyyy too convoluted and each subplot should’ve been its own movie. Also, a lot of tell instead of show to try and pass info to us viewers which I didn’t like. I HATE ELECTRO’S FUCKASS DESIGN. The movie still isn’t as bad as some claim. SPIDERMAN 3 EXISTS, AND THAT SHIT WAS HORRENDOUS!

This movie gets forgotten about but it’s really solid. Suit is brilliant, great combat, Electro score is amazing and Gwen is truly heartbreaking. I enjoy Andrew Garfield and would have liked to have seen more of this Spiderman world. However forcing the Harry Osbourne friendship was rushed and awkward and the acting of Harry was terrible.

The script in this movie is actually hillarious I love Peter and May’s interactions – Your face is filthy – I was cleaning the chimney – We don’t have a chimney – Whaaat. – Last time you did the laundry you turned everything blue and red – That was a mistake… I was washing the American flag The way Peter was willing to leave everything to follow Gwen to England is actually heartbreaking. Her death crushes me every time

Come già…

Just like the first Amazing Spider-Man, the second lacks what the first three Sam Raimi movies had. Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are once again very good. Their on-screen chemistry is fantastic and it is no surprise they dated for so long. Jamie Foxx plays a good, and a pretty relatable villain, I do not truly understand his hate for Spider-Man, however. I know he wanted to be the centre of attention, but I see why that has to come…

The main problem with this movie is the drama, heavily relied on drama and emotions. Only 2 major action blocks in entire movie and final action block is very good. Remaining all feels dragged to most extent. Probably least favourite of all spiderman movies.

136. A

     antwan0520 2026年8月24日

Arguably has the worst Spider-Man villian and the worst side plot in any Spider-Man movie, but I do not care. Even saying the good outweighs the bad is a disservice. We get some of the most beautiful Spider-Man shots of all time and definitely the best swinging scenes. Hans Zimmer’s score clears the work of the other legendary Spider-Man composers Michael Giacchino, James Horner, and Danny Elfman. We are so lucky to have gotten Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone in…

Spider-Man rules and this franchise deserved better, particularly Andrew Garfield. This is just a bizarre movie, which is quite unfortunate considering how high its highs are. These are pretty phenomenally cast, they just were not well written. Terrible use of Harry Osborn with quite literally every single line of his dialogue being painfully awkward and strange. One impressive thing is the fact that it’s so incredibly sad yet manages to end happily with its roughly 10 remaining minutes. I was so ready for more when this came out.
