Hey Letterboxd, giving this glorious work of art a 2.9 average rating doesn’t make you cool nor intelligent nor prestigious nor cinematically informed. It makes you ostentatiously obnoxious and conspicuously pretentious. I’m very disappointed in your behavior. Do better.

Saw this in the cinema when I was 19 and came out thinking it was good. Watched it 14 years later and thought, fuck me I really was a moron as a teenager. Funny at times, painful for the majority.

Bro genuinely some of the funniest shit I’ve seen in my life and that’s acc a high bar. Clears the interview w very highly appreciated comedy movie. Every joke made me feel like I was a part of the friend group. Nothing felt forced and they didn’t make any hard to understand culture references that made the jokes shit. I recommend for everyone wow it was amazing. Might be as good as four lions or anuvahud. Amazing Seth mcfarlan is a genius of comedy

Très bonne comédie, la relation entre Ted et Mark Wahlberg fonctionne vraiment bien. Mila kunis est aussi incroyable.

I was forced to watch this in its entirety with people quoting the lines of everything Ted said. I couldn’t even remember anything else about this movie if I was asked to tell the synopsis at gun point.

“It was Christmas Eve, and all the children were in high spirits. That special time of year, when Boston children gather together and beat up the Jewish kids.” “Chris brown can go no wrong” really didn’t age well Anyway I have waited 5 years to watch this movie well

A lot of the comedy, beyond the initial premise which is quite good, feels stupid and dated. At least there’s a good emotional climax between the two friends at the end, somewhat justifying the less funny aspects

the bear smoking weed is fine and makes sense, but i really don’t understand how he fucks. i don’t want to know, but i don’t understand and i don’t like the implication. seth macfarlane would be much funnier if he stopped with the “haha sexual harassment is so funny but women aren’t and also i hate them lmfao guys isn’t that hilarious.” frankly, it’s distasteful. because he can be funny! brewstoyevsky. i laughed.

Ted is still one of those comedies that just works. The jokes are completely ridiculous, but that’s exactly what makes it fun. Ted and John have such a funny dynamic, and there are so many random moments that had me laughing. Dumb, inappropriate and genuinely entertaining.
