Not only is the my favorite comfort movie EVER but it’s a timeless classic that never gets old. A bright reminder of how fucked up and hilarious the teenage mind can be, let alone the misfortune and stupidity of a trio of friends trying to buy alcohol with a fake ID. Time and time again Superbad leaves me with one of the best feelings in the world; that everything is gonna be ok. Are there gonna be insane bumps in the road? Yes. But it’s how you keep rolling with the punches and prevent period blood from getting on your pants

Comedic, thrilling journey which gets meh at the end. The first two-thirds were hilarious and the characters in it were really powerful and quite memorable especially those cops, which were my favourites and I really loved the chemistry between McLovin and those cops. There was one major fault with this, which was the writing which affects the plot therefore making it less engaging act by act and shifts from dark teen comedy to a predictable end.

There is the glaring sense that the film does rely a little on misogyny, but for a film that was made for teenage boys, it makes sense.
