Do you all remember that scene in Ratatouille where Anton Ego ate ratatouille and was transported back to his younger self? That was me except replace ratatouille with Willem Dafoe tearing shit up

Kevin Feige finally realized they’re never going to do a villain as good as Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin and just went “fuck it, bring him back”

pissed with myself. i cried at the spider-man movie. they tried it sooo many times here and one of them actually worked on me. just fucking humiliating i have a lot of misgivings about this movie and this iteration of spider-man entirely but i kinda think jon watts is one of the best directors the mcu has right now and i’m excited to eventually see him direct a comedy that is untethered from a “universe.” i had fun! guys who love leaning over and loudly explaining something to their girlfriend are reeeeally gonna have a lot of fun

Never in a million years would I have predicted that Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker would be the best character in this movie

Marvel is so good at getting people to do things for money in a way that reads like love. there’s some very cutesy stuff here (most of it an ominous, logical continuation of the content snake eating its own tail), CGI New York City is a really a Character Unto Itself lolol, and Jon Watts is now unquestionably the worst director to ever make a Spider-Man movie. also, not a spoiler, lol at Pete and his friends for simply *assuming* they’d all get into MIT. a very cool premise for a $250 million movie.

One thing j don’t get is why some characters act the way they do. Sure, i get Doc Ock and Norman, but why does Sandman and Lizard just suddenly have beef after willingly coming with Peter to make a cure?

Despite this movie being the most obvious fan service ever, this is actually such a beautifully compacted and entertaining movie. I thought every character served a purpose, cameo or not, and the ending is probably the heaviest I’ve ever been hit for a first watch for a superhero movie ever. Also, De La Soul for the outro was tough asl. So yes, No Way Home is simply incredible and easily my favorite from the TH trilogy.

watched this one so i can be up to date for the new one, and i completely forgot 1 and 2 and feel like i have to rewatch those now. super fun fan fare, but anything that isn’t all 3 spidermen is kinda eh i guess his aunt may die and happy won’t be so happy about it also how tf did jon watts go from 2 unseen movies and some onion shorts to directing the first 3 spiderman movies…

Always forget how good this is. Tom, Andrew and Tobey are all excellent, and together they’re even better. What it does for the progression of Peter’s character is excellent. Tobey’s Peter is also incredibly likeable in this one, which is a huge pro as I always felt that was lacking in his original trilogy. Easily up there as one of the best live action Spider-Man films.

Somehow never saw this despite seeing the other two MCU spider mans so I figured I should probably see this before seeing BND. Wasn’t feeling it a lot in the first half but in the second half in comes together into a solid Spider-Man story about how you can’t save everyone and how sometimes the most selfless act is the one that hurts the most. Garfield is a standout as plenty others have said but honestly everyone in the supporting…

Seeing this opening night in 2021 is hands down still my favourite cinematic experience I’ve ever had. Literally the only time l’ve accepted cheering in a cinema auditorium – Just this one film tho. If I catch anyone cheering or clapping for any other film I’ll be throwing hands like Tom was at the end of this movie. Is this a flawless film? No. Is there some clunky forced dialogue to shoehorn in references to previous films? Yes. But I…
