i understand peter parker on a deeper level because i, too, carry the emotional weight of zendaya not knowing i exist every single day (sadie sink would help)

Constantly found myself moved by the slightest things in its final act: small signs, cheers and crowd embraces. A city intimately linked to its hero. The everyday neighbourhood protector, stripped of his support system. This is a real fucking Spider-Man project. Littered with pulpy comic-book moments that would make Raimi proud, the kind we’ve been painfully missing in these films. Street-level instances that actually feel localised rather than just part of a larger extended universe. And the characters that it does involve genuinely help to advance the realisation of Peter’s character, rather than impede it. Oh, and a live-action Spider-Man film with genuinely textured images in 2026? They weren’t lying when they said give Cretton the keys. It’s insane how…

Fantastic feature length reunion episode of The Bear. Enjoyed the new twist of Carmy having spider powers. Jokes aside… that’s two-for-two now for Dustin Daniel Cretton. Can we hand over the MCU to him? An heir to the Spider-Man 2 throne

It was the first time watching the movie of spider-man. Even though I didn’t know the story of spider-man, I really enjoyed it. Being a guy, I am interested in MARVEL.

So crazy how max turned into 011, must be a multiverse thing.

Tom Holland was just moaning and whimpering the whole time, like MJ he’s sooo pathetic give him something!
-
O
It embodied Spider-Man’s relationship with New York and its citizens more than any of the other movies. Something ive been wanting that the previous 3 movies sorely lacked. It sucks it took 3 mediocre movies to finally get spiderman in new york city (and keep him there) thats like his whole thing. It feels like a comic story and not just a spiderman movie. Although a friend pointed out how comfortable they try to make you of the use of…

I waited a very long time and it was worth it. IT WAS VERY GOOD!😭❤️❤️

Easily Tom Holland’s best Spider-Man performance yet. This feels like the most neighbourhood Spider-Man we’ve seen from him — more grounded, more New York, and just feels right 🕷️🕸️
-
D
Great needle drops, great film however was craving a music dance experience. (I need Tramell to dance on screen again)

Gue pikir ingatan doang yg hilang, ternyata perasaannya juga ikut ilang AWOKAWOK(tertawa tapi ter- i don’t love you, i don’t know you)

love tom,jon and sadie..hate zendaya

K
Good film overall that is succeeding at the really difficult job of following up No Way Home. Happy with a lot of the various character development we got, but definitely unhappy with where we leave Peter and MJ (is it too selfish for me to request another T.H. Spidey Solo Outing?). I know you comic book purists are really happy with the suit, but I preferred the look of the Stark Tech, even if the new spider logo is pretty…

2nd watch and even more appreciation for the movie it is. The almost comic like cgi in stead of trying too hard to make it look uber realistic was such a good choice. Jean grey actually creeped me out she’s a very good/bad/good/misunderstood character. Also the end credits, hello.

Okay so I have some gripes about BND but I will get into the positives first. I for the most part enjoyed the Hulk v. Spiderman fight. I miss seeing 1 on 1 fights of two people with actual SUPER powers. There’s some slight problems with it though that I’ll get into later. I also enjoyed the fact there was no aliens/space fights. I miss when movies focused on the city/town/etc. they’re in rather than being in space. I also…

Rewatch (again) with parents. I really, really like this movie. I almost love it. The third act falls apart. Jean doesn’t work and neither does Peter’s change of heart towards her. I think this is a massive issue in an otherwise great comic book movie. I’ve gotten giddy every time I’ve seen the shot of Spidey, The Hulk, and The Punisher together. Genuinely some peak live action comic stuff. Again, Holland is just so good in this, as is Zendaya…
-
J
M gusto mucho???
-
H
Plot and twists were amazing loved all the cameos, the first three were so amazing that this one didn’t get up to the standards that high. This one felt like more of a filler than a standalone amazing movie. Still very good movie imo tho.
-
O
I cried SO much omgg I kinda feel like it was just a stepping stone to set up for Doomsday but the filmography was crazy
-
B
What a superhero movie Spiderman lived through all of my worst fears, my best friend forgetting me, experiencing life alone, and second puberty…
-
L
The blueprint was thunderbolts*
-
A
Probably is the best Spiderman movie ever created, the scenes of MJ saying “I don’t love you” is too sad bro
-
J
Remember Fallen, the movie where Denzel Washington fights a demon that keeps hopping from body to body just to mess with him? The people who made this movie sure do.

-
E
guys 5th watch!!! genuinely never gets old
-
A
that tame impala needle drop had me geeeeked lol sooo excited for more of jean grey in x-men
-
I
really enjoyed this movie. it felt like a marvel universe with the inclusion of established mcu heroes. I like seeing spiderman interact with them. lowkey nice seeing less of peters friends in the mix and more of peter/spiderman and other marvel characters. idk it wasnt the best spiderman movie but it was a good/fun one. final boss battle could’ve been a little better imo but thats about it.
-
H
putting peter parker in those juicy couture velour sweats was probably the best choice the costume department could have made.

T
It was guud

“sometimes spider-man has to do the hard thing, even if it breaks peter parkers heart” brand new day my beloved. i truly think this film is a combination of the best qualities of all the previous spidey movies. spider-man returns to form as the friendly neighborhood hero, while evolving into a new version of himself with new abilities (a mega spidey? spider peter?). tom holland put on a clinic as a depressed 20-something with no friends (does frank count?) who…

-
P
Hi I’m Peter 🥲
-
F
-
K
That Tame Impala needle drop was cinema. Spider-Man is in the MCU, but he never feels of the MCU — the movie feels stylistically distinctive from the mainline MCU films, reflecting the weird legal situation regarding ownership of the IP. The movie itself is about those first few years out of school and out in the world for a young man — Peter pours himself into his job and gets increasingly atomized and consumed in it, as he struggles to…

First of all I just have to say that watching this in screen x was such an amazing visual experience I don’t know how I’ll watch another movie without it. I think that this was a pretty good movie the fighting was choreographed so well and the cinematography was super great although I do think this was probably my least fav of all the Tom Holland Spider-Man movies for now (I’ll have to rewatch the others to decide for real) but it was still great of course

Trying to make it on his own Beaten up by the grind Thoughts about his past Dealing with physical and mental changes Looking for something that will make him feel better Eventually living naturally, without the inhibitor If someone seems to be a bad guy, they may actually be a good guy who has been hurt and is just trying to navigate the world with pain Starting over in adulthood, as an individual that no longer has friends, relationships, or…

How is MCU New York still a functioning city and not an active war zone. I love spider man! Hes so awesome. They really nail Peter here. His arc is definitely the strongest aspect of a by far. Not super crazy about the story surrounding him, but it all plays out quite well considering there was a lot to balance here. Honestly just a good time at the movies 😋. Definitely brought some life back into the MCU Also the web swinging may be the worst in any spider man movie…

beautiful, stunning, and comforting to see spiderman about my age. loved every second. Also, yelena be rocking that blue eyeliner even in the bath. iconic.

-
G
This is a huge shift visually and tonally from the previous Tom Holland Spider-Man movies and I absolutely loved it. Some incredible web swinging sequences and great camerawork along with potentially a career best performance from Holland. Alyssa- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Holds up on the second watch. Top 3 Spidey movies. Only thing is that the first and second act are such a vibe that I wish they stuck with it more.
-
B
Very surprised how much I enjoyed this. It was refreshing to see a Marvel movie that actually gets you excited for the future of the series. Thanks Steve Lacy.
-
G

This one had action scenes that felt very old school comic book ish and I loved it. The ninja fight scene was sick
-
M
This is what a spiderman movie should be. Tom has the perfect balance of quality between Peter and spiderman, giving us his best performance as the character. I wish this movie was longer, because it felt fun, had quality fight scenes, a plot that made sense, and the strongest part was the fact we got to see spiderman struggle in a different way that most people can relate to which is what makes this superhero the best ever created. Probably…

The MCU manages to clear the incredibly low bar set by the previous 3 Spider-Man movies. They still don’t manage to surpass even the worst of raimi’s Spider-Man movies. There are a few things I liked about this. It’s actually about Spider-Man for once, visually this looks a lot better than basically any other marvel movie, the action sequences are easily the highlight of the film and clearly the thing the director put the most effort into. I just wish…
-
C
The most accurate comic book spider man intro references in the first scenes. Not even the strongest ones can thrive alone (or not remembered).

All casting roads lead to Troy (The Odyssey) and Chicago (The Bear). Also, beat up Peter Parker is the hottest Tom Holland has ever looked

Overall this is a good movie. The music , editing , visual effects – these are all things I look over when I watch marvel movies but I can’t ignore that they consistently get this right A couple of things that bothered me about the movie were more plot-related: 1.what does commissioner Wulff contribute to the story? She doesn’t give Spider-Man intel (in fact , Spider-Man is the one updating her and he has a whole ass ecosystem of surveillance…

I was having a good time while watching it. But the more I think about it, the less I like it. This is the weakest MCU Spider-Man movie. The previous MCU Spider-Man movies excel at plotting, pacing, and clearly defining immediate stakes and goals for its characters. Brand New Day is kind of a mess. The biggest problem is Jean. I don’t usually expect Jean Greys to be too careful about using their powers ethically, but this version of her…

It has actually been a long time since I watched this film. Almost a fortnight. I watched it in a very emotionally vulnerable state so the emotional moments in the film affected me a lot. Overall I think this is a very well made movie. The new suit needs special mention because it is beautiful. The humorous and serious moments are placed in great harmony so that neither is devalued. And at the heart of this film, is responsibility. Taking…

I’ve been thinking for a while now on what to rate this because while it was a pretty fun movie, critically it just really doesn’t hit for me (because everyone cares what bugrate has to say about Spider-Man on Letterboxd). Starting with the good, the choreography was AMAZING. As someone who really loves a good fight I thought that the fights in this movie were probably the most interesting ones in the MCU. Uhh i liked Tom hillands accent and…

i wasn’t toooooo confident in this film bc i haven’t been the hugest fan of tom hollands spider man series (not bc of him but i just felt like some plots were dragged on , like they could’ve told the previous story in two movies instead of 3) but I AM SO HAPPY TO SAY I LOVED IT!! i saw it in imax on release day (because pre release days were all full) IT WAS INCREDIBLE!! the theaters being full…

I am not well-versed in Marvel. In fact, I just found out after watching this movie that Thanos was a bad guy. Whole time i was out here thinking he was on the avenger force??? (terminology? idk what their group is called) but anyway, I think that might make it even easier to have a perspective on because it’s not influenced by the tens of movies that have to make sense before this one does. I think the villain okayed…
