In high school, I was super fascinated with sex. I was also paranoid, and I was afraid to search out anything explicit online. every time i watch a james spader film he’s on the pull, but deviously. either films about vulnerable women are always good or i need help. it’s definitely abuse if subordination gets you off, so enjoying this seems, gross.

So self-contained, which gives it the freedom to be playful and silly and earnest all at once. It’s kind of insane that Shainberg hasn’t a fuller filmography. But maybe we should all be so lucky as to have one great, perfect piece of art in us that we get to share with the world.
