every time i watch this movie im blown away how good of a movie it is. like it’s not just a good saw movie, it’s the most cinematic in the series by a mile. The more time that passes before we get Saw XI news, the more likely it is that this is the last we see of Tobin Bell as John Kramer & while that does make me very sad, i’m so glad we got this. it’s a performance on…

Definitely the strongest entry the series has produced in quite some time — though admittedly the bar hasn’t been very high. It steps back from having the traps as the main spectacle and instead leans into a more grounded, character‑driven story. The people caught in the traps feel somewhat more deserving than in recent instalments, where the motivations behind their punishments were so flimsy that the deeds never matched the severity of the demise ( most of Saw VI and…

Incredibly fun on the rewatch, and just enough time had passed that I forgot this one had an Amanda reveal, so I was in the middle of a sentence and then just devolved to a loud yell-cheer. Two thumbs up. Fine holiday fun. Not a dry seat in the house.

i would give a sizable portion of my cerebral tissue to see this for the first time in the front row knowing absolutely nothing of what was to come one more time. we were SO STARVED for good old-fashioned saw back then i blocked out how cringe a lot of the script is. probably still the best acted? traps DELIVERRRRRR i only got through them by repeating “it’s cake” over and over. can’t believe i’m saying this but i kind…

Any Saw movie Amanda Young is in is my fav saw I LOVE AMANDA YOUNG !!! NUMBER ONE AMANDA YOUNG FAN !!! Also was reminded of the scene where Kramer has his like healing montage and the scene where he’s just joyfully sketching his next death device made me laugh out loud. Def one of the better saw movies aside from 1-3 and 6 (I love saw 6 😭😭). Every Gabriela scene made me tear up like literally almost all…

Saw X is the most Emotional and personal story for our favorite genius killer, taking on a cancer scammer and an extremely unlucky euro-trash villain who decides to mark Jigsaw, and, well, John decides to hand out life lessons in kind. Extremely gory and fantastically mean, Saw X is a return to form after too many trash sequels. Cue Saw music: “GAME OVER” slams door. Me: (❁´◡`❁) every time

This is the 2nd ever Saw movie I’ve seen besides the 1st, at a pal’s birthday today. Glad it’s set right after that one. At their worst, the occasional frantic’ed editing during the games almost feel and sound like a transition from Victorious. The camera’s movement choices are all around odd. The moments of Place, Mexico yellow tint in a movie from 2023 is crazyyy. These movies seem to really lose the dirty, visual identity of theirs as they go…
