This has a lean momentum to it that none of the others do and Forster shoots it in a frantic and fractured style that replicates the psychological intensity of his revenge, all while his wake starts to fill up with the mutilated corpses of friends and foes alike… Doesn’t matter if it’s the Andean Grand Hotel or a Motel 6, we’re all in his dumpster anyway.

   Bond and MI-6 STOP the CIA from doing a coup in Bolivia. While technically the most “politically correct” Bond film, as it’s about a “Green” NGO privatizing Bolivia’s water, it’s all the more sus because I shouldn’t be asked to believe that Bond or Her Majesty’s Government would be against something like that. It has much deeper problems than its attempt to make Bond seem like he kills people for good reasons, such as the fact that Marc Forster cannot direct an action scene to save his life. Too many cuts!     I am currently sitting on the hood of my car on the 10 freeway in Los Angeles where traffic has been stopped for two hours because of an accident. I watched all of Quantum of Solace on my phone, the way Marc Forster intended. We have not moved yet. Genuinely curious as to whether I will be able to finish Spectre before we move.     007：大破量子危机 也就开头的追车戏追内鬼，和结尾的爆炸戏好看，其他时间的剧情我看得是云里雾里的。而且剪切稀碎，镜头真的是在乱切，尤其最后Bond从火场出来，看见反派在使劲逃出现场，下一个镜头就直接是Bond开车把反派从后车厢拽出来。这前后逻辑能不能不要这么节省，省也他妈不是这种省法啊。 这是我第二次看了，第一次看还是在中学的时候和朋友们看。开头的追车戏还是小时候看CD的时候会在一开始就看到的购买原装光碟广告，那真的是马来西亚人所有人的童年啊，我也很喜欢这场追车戏，但现在看了才发现，剧情稀碎，逻辑不清晰，人物关系混乱，而且你个量子危机也没有和量子有关啊，你也就充其量只是个什么恐怖组织？但故事里也没什么提到啊，你就一直和那个水资源的老板在斗罢了。 最后心疼被泡进石油里的妹子一秒😢果然和Bond睡过都没有什么好下场，虽然突然就睡也是看得我很满头问号就是了。

    There are a few glimpses of a better film here, like the character of Camille and the ending with Vesper’s boyfriend, but boy can you tell that this one was affected by a Writers Strike and by its director’s lack of experience in the action genre. And yeah, the editing during the fight scenes sucked, but I think everyone knows that by this point

    Daniel Craig 2 out 5: The most unfortunate Bond films of the franchise. I cannot judge a movie for what it could have been but for what it is. Quantum of Solace, is not a good follow up to Casino Royale at all. On its own terms, I believe it is a fine movie. They attempt to build on James’ trauma from losing Vesper but, it feels like they’re too damn scared to commit to it. God, I feel so bad for this cast, having to deal with a writer’s strike, and then having to live up to Casino Royale.

    It’s really boring an’ stupidly fast it ends before you even notice, plus there’s so so much action scenes an’ hasty shots like the one on the stage they were combining two sequences an’ it was so disturbing an’ trust me you can’t keep up, an’ another one in the elevator he was with three agents an’ they started cutting the shots very fast you can’t even tell what’s happening, I’ve read somewhere that it wasn’t fully finished in writing that’s the reason why it ends so fast.

    It’s fun, with strong momentum, and good watchability. Some of the action is fairly good, some of it feels weightless, messy, and inconsequential, especially compared to Casino Royale’s. I think the opening scene is a perfect encapsulation of that- Casino Royale’s was a masterclass in purposeful action storytelling, whereas this car chase mostly felt like “be fast and look cool”. I think it maybe also spends too much time on action, which isn’t always the best way to have fun…

    Serviceable in every way. Not the best, but definitely not the worst! The shorter run time here helps it stay fresh and is what makes this such an easy watch. Much less character work and more of an entertaining, globetrotting adventure. Little to no gadgets but the opening scene in the Aston hits like crack every time.

    “Ein Quantum Trost” Dreimal hab ich den Film bisher gesehen, aber wenn mich jemand fragt, worum es geht, fällt mir einfach nix mehr ein. Der Film ist so belanglos. Fast so, als hätte man dringend einen neuen James Bond machen müssen, aber nicht wirklich eine Idee gehabt, was man erzählen möchte. Spektakuläre Action mit schnellen Schnitten… das ist das einzige, was mir im Gedächtnis bleibt.

    It has all the elements. The action. The set pieces. The choices of beautiful architecture and locations. All of it is here. But it lacks depth. This the most disappointing of the Daniel Craig years. Simply because all of the rest don’t lack depth. They don’t hurry. They flesh out the story and characters. Feels like if they let this movie breathe for an extra half an hour it would have been excellent.

    Thoroughly exhausting movie that manages to make the previous installment look like a feminist masterpiece while draining it of nearly all of its style and charm. Occasional bright spots or interesting ideas–like its emphasis on Bond’s tendency and willingness to destroy the lives around him–fall completely flat when it’s delivered largely through a choppily-edited parade of every woman in the film specifically being outplayed and overmatched by men so that their danger or death can motivate Bond, alongside action scenes that often border on genuinely illegible.

     i’ve definitely seen chunks of this film before, i think when my parents watched it, and possibly even with a guy, but so much of it was new and i’d definitely not seen it all the way through before that i’m counting it as a rewatch. overall feels like a step down from casino royale in practically every way. i did appreciate that it’s basically a full sequel to the film, but i think in the long run it hurts…

     pertanyaan gue sama, quantumnya mana kenapa minim clue anjir wkwk. The lack of depth regarding the villain is the main issue. Honestly, this is the most forgettable of the Craig-era Bond films. But it’s not actually that bad; there are still plenty of stylish action sequences that are really well-executed and timed perfectly. So, whenever I started to feel bored because things were dragging, one of those scenes would kick in. 7/10
