And we’re the game.” I guess Predators ended up being so forgettable since it is essentially a more generic repeat of the original 1987 action classic, but with more Predators. This is better than I remembered, with some memorable moments and an awesome supporting performance by Laurence Fishburne. (He even references his role in Apocalypse Now, which briefly sent me down a rabbit hole of trying to figure out if there was some way he was playing Clean again.) I like the central conceit and I think Brody was an inspired choice here, especially after the more explicit machismo of Arnold and Glover. Not all the pieces work, it begins to over-complicates itself when it brings in Fishburne’s character and attempts whatever it’s doing with Topher Grace. BUT, if there’s anything from the Predator canon they should revisit in the future, it should be whatever this movie was at least trying to do. Weird movie.

now this film is one of my favs from the Predators series/ franchise. the whole cast and each being their own unique characters was a fun addition to the film. the plot and the action in this film was so enjoying to watch from start to finish. recommended this film to my homies and that’s why im just now rewatching it after finishing watching the original Predators from ‘87 which was amazing to rewatch considering of all the references and scenes that related to the og film! underrated. chaotic! entertained.

I can appreciate that it tries to go back to basics. Particularly after some wretched “Alien Vs Predator” movies that preceded it. Unfortunately it’s a mostly entertaining but not that memorable B-movie you put on in the background. Like I saw it in 2010 and I didn’t remember a damn thing from it. There are some memorable stock characters and Adrien Brody give it his tough guy all. The future and better installments seemed to have built up on some of the good stuff in this at least.

Wow this thing is really fun from beginning to end. Amazing cast and they all get their moments. Gets so much mileage out of its concept, and I think the concept is kind of a unique one considering that this is the 3rd entry in the series.

Some very strange callbacks to the original Predator. Too many A-list celebrity cameos for this movie to be considered B tier. The only actor not playing himself is Brody, no piano in sight however. Topher’s performance is iconic for post Spiderman 3. Fastest fishburne cameo ever. The music is trapped somewhere between Danny Elfman and Toy Soldiers. The plot could be summed up in the first 5 minutes. It takes an hour to get there in the actual film. Oh well, 4.5/10

So Adrien Brody is a Schwarzenegger now ? First, we visited the aliens, then a Predator visited us and apparently brought aliens along too. So what was left? Visiting the Predators. This movie was completely saved by its diverse cast, which resulted in some interesting characters. Otherwise, it is basically a copy of the original installment, and the fact that it takes place on another planet changes nothing, since it is practically indistinguishable from Earth’s jungles.

Pretty good, I like that it’s in a jungle like the first movie and I also like the references to it. That plot twist at the end was ok, it’s hard to see how powerful these predators are if they’re being destroyed by humans.

Love the concept of this, a group of elite killers dropped into a predator battle world and used as training. Some very cool spots in the film however that’s as far as it goes. The characters all lack any depth or transparency. Also little to no storyline or plot. It’s a testament to how good an actor Adrian Brody is because he is not a tough guy but his performance kind of makes you buy him as one, definitely feel as though this role was made was benicio del toro.

A beautiful companionship between a woman trying to make up for a mistake she very recently made, and a man who has always put himself, and his own survival, first. Also, Laurence Fishburne is in it for like 10 minutes and I love him so much. Also, also, there are bigger predators that are mean to the other predators just because they are shorter. So rudeeee. A genre flick that never colours outside of the lines but delivers on everything it should in at least a competent enough way that nothing feels missing. Weirdly reminds me of Julius Avery’s “Overlord” from 2018 in that sense. Fun movie! Brody needed a run as an action guy after this.

J’ai vraiment adoré l’ambiance de la planète. Le côté traque fonctionne super bien et j’ai particulièrement aimé le personnage de l’homme qui finit par devenir complètement fou. Voir un personnage perdre progressivement les pédales m’a vraiment plu. Et comme toujours, c’est un plaisir de voir le lore des Predators continuer à se développer.
