    A reminder that the best thing you can be is yourself. Mike wanted to be a scarer but the best thing he could do was comedy. Second, embrace the journey. Mike and sully got expelled but managed to reach their dream by starting from the bottom and embracing where they were.

    Não sou a maior fã desse filme, mas não nego que ele é incrível. Adoro acompanhar a trajetória do Mike e do Sulley e ver como eles foram evoluindo e, aos poucos, se tornando amigos. Além disso, acho o filme muito engraçado. Só que o final sempre me deixa meio decepcionada porque, quando era criança, eu realmente achava que a diretora ia deixar os dois voltarem para a universidade, mesmo sabendo do final.     If the movie ended at the scare games, this would’ve been an okish movie. But the third act of this movie enhances the entire movie completely. The theme of “sometimes it just isn’t meant to be” is something I wasn’t expecting when first watching and I think it makes monsters university stand next to the original. It’s a topic that lots of people deal with but don’t see much in movies like this, which is always a good thing to see.

    the most underrated pixar film and possibly the funniest. a wholly original prequel film. which doesn’t make a lot of sense but every opportunity they have to make a clear set up for the original, they subvert it and go in a fresh unexpected direction. even its premise is pretty unique for a “children’s” movie: no matter how badly you want something or work for it, it still might not be your thing. however, that doesn’t devalue the thing you are made to do, it’s what makes you, you. Sully still top 3 betrayals ever though. he’s lucky Mike’s such a nice guy.
