Weird asf. Pretty disturbing but that’s how it’s supposed to be I guess. 😭 I wish it didn’t end with so many questions left. It would have been much better if one had more information about the rituals and also about the main character and her tragic story. :/ I’m a fan of disturbing movies but this one was really a hard watch and I wouldn’t watch it again. There was nothing that particularly caught my attention or made me more invested into that movie… I liked the foreshadowing a lot tho!!

L’abord de la thématique sur les sectes et leurs dérives rendent le film meilleur que ce qu’il le devrait. Il se veut volontairement choquant par les corps humain, la nudité et les morts (les 2 suicides au début du film) et se veut aussi perturbant par les chants, l’attitude des gens autour et les traditions et ce dès le début du film (avec les dessins des poils pubiens dans la nourriture) Le film a un début assez long mais il reste quand même super bon étant donné que la deuxième partie du film plus axée horreur est excellente.

no se como nunca me digne a ver esta bellísima obra cinematográfica, estoy ampliamente satisfecho, sinceramente me encanto el incendio del final pq siento que no opera como una tragedia, sino como un acto de purificación catártica y emancipación ontológica, la sonrisa final de Dani no es un quiebre de demencia sino una epifania de emancipada beatitud. contemplar ese gesto bañado de flores y llamas me transmitió una sensación de libertad y paz muy genuinas aunque a su vez acompañada por una punzada amarga e inquietante.

this took me a long time to finish lol, but this was a cool ass movie. i adored the details, ari is a beautiful director! i love the way he sees things. and the ending how danny is smiling, people may have interpreted this to be a happy ending, but its how cults take advantage of the vulnerability of others. danny may think she found a home, somewhere where her feelings are validated, when she just dumped her stupid boyfriend. i liked her now, i hated her in the beginning. leave that man!
