Like watching a nice car run out of gas in real time. It’s still a nice car, but it is sputtering to get to its destination. Fortunately, there’s just enough charm left in the tank that makes the movie passable, but it’s easily the weakest in the franchise. Thank goodness for Viola Davis, Jack Black, and the end credit sequence.

awkwafina what the hell r u doing here plot wise, i think its weak compared to the trilogy, but chronologically makes sense. i am a hater at heart, because why does awkwafina keep getting these roles that are so oddly specific. tai lung i miss u mister snow leopard. i think in terms of villains, the chameleon is pretty weak only because she was more of a supporting character to akwafina’s and as a result, just feels supplementary rather than a super big deal, but it is what it is

This isn’t a totally awful film I just feel like I was comparing it to the other three the whole time. Unfortunately it doesn’t live up to the expectations I had set. I mean where was everyone ?! I know it’s called Kung Fu PANDA but this made me realise we need characters other than Po in this film. Zhen wasn’t a bad character I just didn’t really vibe with the film as a whole unfortunately. Not nearly enough Mr Ping time and damn I didn’t realise how much aura Tai Lung has.

The first three movies have a deep plot with great character development and really emotional and badass scenes which this movie did not contain once. The weakest of the four feature length films in this series imo. I don’t like the idea of Po having to pass on the torch of Dragon Warrior when he earned that title and achievement fully by the third film. This movie feels like it just wants to sweep all that hard work and character growth under the rug. The villain for this I thought was creative enough but I really dont feel this movie was needed at all and it should have been left as a trilogy.

Po sigue siendo un protagonista muy carismático y tiene buenos momentos, aunque la historia no alcanza la profundidad emocional de la segunda película. La Camaleona es interesante como villana, pero podría haber estado mucho mejor desarrollada. Divertida y entretenida, aunque bastante olvidable comparada con las mejores de la saga.

At this point, my affection for Kung Fu Panda carries more weight than the movie itself. No esperaba un final tan acelerado y abrupto. Durante la película se van construyendo los personajes y tenían los ingredientes perfectos para una buena villana y un buen final de sucesión de roles, pero decidieron hacer una batalla rápida sin un final épico. Dicho esto, espero que haya una 5ª película, me ha gustado el personaje de Zhen.

Okay I’ll admit something good to come out of this was the Tenacious D Jack Black cover of Baby One More Time. Both the cover and the original are peak. Might sound basic but I think the world can agree when I say Britney’s Baby One More Time is one of the best songs ever made. Moche dès qu’il n’y a pas de scènes de duel. Aucun relief, aucun travail de lumière, d’ombre et de contraste avec le décor (On dirait un dessin animé mal fait pour Gulli matin).
