I liked Kiki very much indeed. It can be rather frightening to leave home with only a small bag, a loyal companion, and the hope that people will be kind. But Kiki reminded me that even when you lose confidence, it doesn’t mean you’ve lost your magic forever. Sometimes you simply need a little rest, a good friend, and perhaps something sweet from a bakery.

the saddest part is when jiji stops talking. i get that’s the part of growing up as a witch and now kiki doesn’t depend on him anymore, but it’s still soo sad. i want a snarky witch cat :/

i have never seen this film and all this time i thought kiki was the cats name! i adored this. what a cosy film. a darling film about growth, compassion, friendship. ugh i want to live in that town. it also had a beautiful score. seeing it in imax made it extra special too. declan could definitely see how much i enjoyed it because i was laughing and smiling throughout. waaa LOVED it 🥲

Heartwarming is the best way to describe this film, standard beautiful studio ghibli animation paired with 80s Japanese pop creates such a lovely atmosphere, couldn’t stop myself from smiling. Watching in IMax only added to the overall experience. “Stop trying… And then, pretty soon, you’ll be flying again.”

( special imax screening review ) Seeing this Miyazaki masterpiece, on such a big screen, and the score from Dolby atmosphere was truly special. Kiki’s delivery service prides itself on stunning animation, much like any Ghibli film, and centres its heartwarming plot around connection, friendship and growth. This film utilises its narrative and character development to show the growth of Kiki, and her brave adventure, which is beautifully shown by the end of the film. 4.5/5 in IMAX

It was ok, expect it to be better as a Miyazaki film but i still enjoyed it somewhat. The animation is beautiful but the story was pretty basic. The cat was the best part of the film for sure 🐈⬛️🐈⬛️🐈⬛️

Got to see this on the big screen for the first time in Imax to. Still a great film with lovely music, love the animation and story. To be fair all the studio ghibli films are great in there own ways, but this one is worth the watch if you haven’t seen it yet.

if you’re going to call these people witches, actually give the concept some substance….?? just throwing the term ‘witch’ in solely for the broom concept feels extremely reductive and guess what !!!! you can make a gentle children’s movie without making basically everyone behave like a good samaritan !!!! shocker !!!!!!

One of those movies that gives me hope in humanity and shows the power of kindness and love. I just loved the whole movie from start to end, and I cannot stress enough on how lovely the animation was. It was so cute 🥺🥰. Plus I just love how the animation for the city was done so well.

There is a particular bus that gets me to the closest IMAX screen here in an hour. I usually reach near the theatre, buy an affordable meal deal and then go to the screening to have the perfect experience. I boarded the bus at the very few specific times that it runs. But there was some stupid major accident on the road because of which we were moving like snails. I was an hour late, the movie starts in half…

Watching this in IMAX felt ethereal, each moment of stillness had me wishing it would last an eternity and witnessing Kikis beautifully hand crafted surroundings gave me an indescribable feeling. Despite watching this movie so many times when I was younger this truly felt like the definitive watch.
