If I had seen this film when I was 13, I would have absolutely loved it. At 22 years old, I still really liked this movie. I’m essentially still a kid at heart, so I had a pretty darn good time with Jurassic World. In a sense Jurassic World is kind of a bad film. It’s messy, cheesy, predictable, and kind of stupid. The script is weak and the dialogue will make you roll your eyes. Despite all of that, I still had quite a bit of fun and I am a fan of this movie. As an entertainment piece it really delivered for me. It’s very exciting and fun to watch. There’s a lot of really solid action set…

you know that part in Ratatouille when Ego says “in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so”? maybe the only silver lining of being a 21st century film critic is that modern hollywood is so hellbent on proving that untrue.

God creates dinosaurs God destroys dinosaurs God creates Steven Spielberg Steven Spielberg creates dinosaurs Dinosaurs inspire man Man destroys God The Indie-to-Hollywood Conversion Factory creates Colin Trevorrow Colin Trevorrow reverse-engineers a beloved childhood favorite and puts most of the pieces back in a satisfying, nostalgic and highly entertaining fashion, if also neglecting the importance of character and the great, oh-so-great value of Goldblumian acting capabilities. Second-rate writers inherit the earth

I love how this movie builds off of Jurassic Park and makes the park actually feel like a theme park. I think they do a really good job building this world out and making you feel like this is somewhere that people would want to visit. The Indominus Rex is really cool and works well for this plot. The relationship between Owen and the Raptors is really interesting and pays off during the final action sequence. Chris Pratt is very…

Urgh… this wasn’t good. Dinosaurs are awesome and part of that is that they were real creatures that existed. Previous movies made Dinosaurs into monsters, and that was fine. This film creates monsters and sells them as dinosaurs. Didn’t care about any of the human characters.

On a dinosaur kick at the moment and, shockingly, this was nowhere near as ass as I remembered it being. Enjoyable Friday night slop. I didn’t even hate Chris Pratt in this one.

The T-Rex entrance is why movies exist!
-
K

The best movie ever created claire and owen omg

It has a weird ass script sometimes and it’s juggling like five different subplots but that doesn’t mean it’s not good.
