so much lore. obsessed with lore. every goddamn franchise sequel these days is just focused on building out their internal wikipedias

This is Karen Gillan’s movie. Her name should get top billing.

there’s a scene at the start of this movie where a character’s phone shows the date as December 13th, 2019. I watched this movie on December 12, 2019. Is this set in the far-flung future of tomorrow? Bringing in Awkwafina was a fun choice. Karen Gillan is a star.

both jack black and awkwafina have so much range they could each play every character in this movie and it’d be just as good

I got emotional about a scene where Awkwafina, with the soul of Danny DeVito🗣️, says a final goodbye to his best friend, a horse🐎 with the soul of Danny Glover🥲. Unserious cinema is alive & well.🤡 Anyway, this sequel is amazing & funny & cute🎮. Gimme a dozen more sequels of body swapping mayhem↔️. Thank you.🫡 Ps. The Rock calling Awkwafina ‘Grandpa’ will always be funny to me. They commit to the bit.👴🏻

The group from Jumanji (2017) is back once again, but this time to rescue a friend trapped in the next level, bringing a few new friends along for the ride. Same antics as the first film. Nothing too different than the first entry.
