Es ist wirklich irre, wenn man bedenkt, wie faul und dümmlich das Drehbuch von „Infinite“ ist, was…damit immerhin zur Performance des Hauptdarstellers passt, aber dazu gleich mehr. Antoine Fuqua scheint auf die eher alberne Prämisse (spezielle Menschen werden immer wieder geboren und erinnern sich an frühere Leben) aber schlicht und ergreifend keinen Bock gehabt zu haben. Was mit einem unmotivierten VoiceOver beginnt („Es ist das Jahr Schnarchtausendundgähhn..“), ergeht sich danach rund 70 Minuten in Schuss-Gegenschuss-Drögerie nahe der Gehirnschlaggrenze, in denen sich Charaktere pausenlos Exposition ins Gesicht aufsagen, als wäre Tag der offenen Tür im Finanzamt. Definitely not a good movie but it earns it’s stars for that scene where Dylan O’Brien drives really fast and also that scene where Dylan has a sword. Other than that, don’t bother. BUT IMAGINE…. how good this movie would be if Dylan was the lead. Take a moment to imagine that we lived in that world.

The high concept SciFi movie based on reincarnation-believers n nihilists, does begin promisingly however the uninteresting story and bland narrative drag it down flat, ending up as one forgettable experience. Mark Wahlberg couldn’t help the sinking ship any bit. Best to skip.

Infinite had a really good concept, a decent cast, and clearly a good budget behind it, but the execution just wasn’t there. I liked seeing Dylan O’Brien in it, but the storytelling was all over the place and never really gave the concept the depth it deserved. It ended up being pretty boring to sit through, which is a shame because there was definitely potential here. Good idea, poor execution, forgettable movie.

The start, it was so fucking promising, I had Tenet vibes, yeah I knew it wouldn’t be that good, but you know good vibes anyway. It gets worse the longer the story goes, the main actor has like one face too? I could not build any sympathy for anyone. The fights scenes are okay but forgettable. Such an interesting concept, yet I will forget about this film before I’m even done writing this.

Wasn’t sure what to expect from this one going in. It captures the human cost hiding inside all the spectacle in a way that feels weirdly plausible. The way it lingers on the ingenuity required to survive the situation feels surprisingly grounded. The editing knows exactly when to cut away and when to hold. Still, it captures the split second decisions under pressure in a way that feels relentless. It manages tonal shifts that should feel jarring but somehow don’t. There’s a real focus on the uneasy calm before things fall apart that pays off. An easy addition to the rewatch pile.

What a phenomenal Sci-Fi/action film, despite its reviews, I thoroughly enjoyed every single element of the story and it kept me intrigued and even though the movie is over, the story is never over, I highly recommend Infinite, it has alot to offer in terms of science fiction and action elements which blended well and were quite enjoyable and thep possibilities are infinite
