Ah yes, the original “painfully average” movie. Upon further thought, it’s way better than the other films I’ve given that moniker to. It’s fun, has great writing and inventive action, and the score is solid. Filler nonsense and a weak plot/villain/finale really drag it down, and it has little to no emotional weight. But it’s still enjoyable; if we only had to wait 2 years for this instead of 14 then I think I’d feel a lot better about it overall.

As much as I really enjoy Marvel movies, this movie made me realize what I’ve been missing from (what feels like) an eternity of superhero films– there’s a real sense of tension and heart in the things they do, even when you know everything’s going to work out because it’s a movie. This one borrows heavily from the old James Bond tropes/canon, including the score which is quite Barry-esque – not complaining. It’s a fun spy/superhero hybrid, and the animation is pretty, pretty good.

Idc what anyone says this movie is sm fun. I don’t think some movie makers realize a big part of the fun of watching superheroes on screen is how creatively they can use their powers. The new Superman movie is good at this too. No matter what the power set is, it’s not that interesting if they use it to fly and punch over and over again, I want to see it get wacky!

This is such an insulting step down from the masterpiece that was the first movie. It’s the same plot with the roles reversed with a worse villain and lame ass side characters with Fortnite looking designs. And now Pixar has the AUDACITY to make a third movie that will probably be just as mid.

Cool sequel. This movie is really good but it doesnt live up to the first one because it’s not as funny and there is less edna. I also prefer Syndrome as a villan. Jack Jack having powers really brought this movie up for me and the character progression with Violet is amazing.

Although not as good as the first, Incredibles 2 is still an entertaining animation from Pixar and I enjoyed it more this time around (probably as my expectations were lower). Picking up exactly where the first movie ended, it rounds out the Parr family well, even if the story is essentially the same as the first but with the central character flipped from Bob to Helen. There are some solid jokes and Jack-Jack is great every time he’s in the film. It’s all serviceable stuff but just not as ground-breaking as what has gone before. Although it looks amazing. A solid if unspectacular watch.
