As someone who sincerely doesn’t mind most of the low-effort vibes of the Ice Age films that came before this one (due to some resemblance of charm and identity that they have)… I find this to be as annoying as movies get. Thoroughly enjoy 1-4, but this fifth one is insufferably unfunny. HOWEVER!! BUCK is in this film. And BUCK is AWESOME!! So, for that, this gets a 0.9999/5 star rating

Remember when there were people in this universe? Whatever happened to the ice age baby? Did he ever grow up into a hunter while the ice age animals develop working microphones out of pine cones on branches (what’s up with that by the way?) I’m glad they brought back Buck because he’s literally the only good thing about this franchise. Even when they have him telling the unfunniest jokes Simon Pegg still makes them sound kinda funny. Now I’m actually curious to see a whole spinoff about him because it can’t be any worse than these movies.

I forgot that I watched this. And it was months ago. Remember when this series was just about three prehistoric animals trying to return a baby?

JUNIMATION II: F*** YEAH! Bruh, I totally forgot that Yo Soy German lends his voice to one of the characters here! That was some genuinely scary stuff! So this was a better experience than the first and only time I watched this back when it got released in theaters. I remember this being the worst—so bad that you can feel the dread from me, like the one or two families that were in that empty theater. The kids were bored to tears. The parents were likely wishing they were somewhere else, just like me. Bland and unfunny to no end. And while this is the least I’ve laughed at in the series, despite them bringing back Buck and all, it…

I didn’t even remember that I’d seen this movie, LOL. Anyway, it’s not that great; from this point on, the franchise just isn’t as good as it used to be 🙁

The amount of not logic here and we was robbed too by the size of the meteor I’m crine but it is what it is Its still a kids movie so I couldn’t argue less.

Me and my sister had a lot of good laughs watching this movie, not the best of the franchise but it still made me laugh and had a decent story which I think is more than enough for an Ice Age movie

1/10: I literally have nothing to say about this movie. Just utterly worthless and pointless and unfunny. I wish that asteroid hit them so we would no longer have to deal with these characters. This spits on the exhumed corpse of the first movie.

Ending is absurde. The rest works pretty well again but it is only good i think, the humor carries the whole excitement for me and the Scrat-theory may be true i think.

Movie marathon of the century. One of the ice age films I remember the most. Also DARE I SAY the second best? 🤨 Granny you will forever be iconic. Also favourite scene of the film: Diego: I don’t know what’s wrong with me can’t eat can’t sleep. I think I’m coming down with something?? 😰😦 Manny: Ohhh ho ho I know what you got. The L-word Sid: Yeahhhh Leprosy!! 😄 Manny: Nooooo Sid. NO! It’s 4 letters, starts with L,…

THIS REVIEW IS FROM A PRIOR LETTERBOXD ACCOUNT AND MAY NOT REPRESENT MY CURRENT VIEWS AND/OR OPINIONS I used to work as a caregiver at a before and after school care program when I was 20 years old and in the school holidays we would work full 8 hour days where we would either keep the kids at school and look after them there or we would take them on school trips to cool places like the Zoo or one…

WORST ICE AGE FILM. destroys manny’s character growth from the previous film and makes crash and eddie caricatures of themselves. also humour is much worse

space… in an ice age movie they’re running out of ideas and it shows, why do we need an apocalyptic event involving a cosmic disruption in an ice age film buck returning made sense, but was so annoying. he’s my least favourite character in these movies, and i was so glad he didn’t join their gang at the end of ice age – dawn of dinosaurs the dinosaur-bird villains weren’t very good, and really random. it made no sense at…

Unfortunately they couldn’t stick the landing as the movie couldn’t solve the issues building since the 4th. Still an alright movie and bucks return is carrying it.

The character bloat is crazy. Granny added nothing, Shira added less than nothing, she subtracted. The only reason I’m not rating it lower than the previous one is because of my beloved Buck.

Disclaimer: I am not one to make one of these before I give my overall thoughts, but this franchise killed itself. I enjoy the first two movies for what they are. The third one was one that I was never really into. The last one before this one is by far my favorite because I grew up watching it a lot. Unfortunately, this movie killed the franchise for me. When I saw the trailer, I already thought that it was…

Peut-être le film le plus inutile de la saga, et certainement le moins bon. Faut dire aux grandes entreprises d’animation d’arrêter de refaire des films nuls qui pourrissent des sagas légendaires qui date de notre enfance

Ice age what happened? This had potential! Three modern family actors, funny jokes , good song and pretty visuals YET IT JUST DIDNT HIT :(( I think it dragged on a bit I think in comparison to ice age 1-4 it is no where near but I would watch again as it had funny moments:)

I used to be a fan of Lilly Singh, back when her YouTube channel was called IISuperwomanII. I went and saw this in the theater purely because she was in it. She has two lines in the whole movie. My feelings are pretty lukewarm towards the Ice Age franchise. Was this entry unnecessary? Absolutely. But I didn’t hate it during this rewatch. I’ll probably go see the new one next year if there isn’t anything better to see in theaters. Maybe I’ll check out that Buck movie that nobody watched if ever get Disney+ anytime soon.

So while I would say that this is my least favorite of the Ice Age movies from Blue Sky (even though the Buck Wild movie is my overall least favorite Ice Age movie), I still think this is still a good movie overall. While it does have a good number of flaws, such as some of the characters just being there (like with the previous film), Diego and Shira not really doing anything to prove themselves to be less scary…

It’s not the film I’d put at the top of the saga, but there’s something almost bittersweet about watching it now. By 2016 these characters had been part of my childhood for years. So seeing Manny, Diego, Sid, Ellie and the others still running around together while Scrat is literally messing with the cosmos haha feels less like discovering a new adventure and more like visiting an old cinematic world one last time 💫
