By far the best of the recent batch of pop star docs, unfortunately for the most heartbreaking reasons. There’s no performance here, no insufferably capitalistic motives, just total, wrenching vulnerability. A movie that dares you to imagine this woman doing literally anything else but sing, only to leave you in tears when you realize she no longer can. Its greatest achievement is providing so much context to the recording of her otherwise forgettable song from that Priyanka Chopra romcom that it’s suddenly rendered… a tremendous accomplishment? Jesus fucking Christ.

“I think I was very good.” Celine you will forever always, be the best. The Diva of all Divas. Absolutely raw and heart wrenching, Watching the cuts from her rehearsing on stage to her in physical therapy needing assistance with those same movements… the heart pains don’t stop. The vulnerability of showing her seizure from start to finish and the pain and terror in her eyes. I didn’t bring enough tissues to last me through this. This woman is unstoppable and I’m thankful for her every day. She has had such a long battle and journey and she deserves nothing but healing and peace. “If I can’t run, I’ll walk. If I can’t walk, I’ll crawl. I won’t stop.”

Bruh… I mean, I honestly don’t know what to say. This was definitely not what I was expecting. I thought it would be your typical documentary—tracing an artist’s journey backward in time to explore her beginnings, career milestones, and current life, almost like a biopic but in documentary form. Sure, there’s a bit of that, but really, the heart of this film is the present—Dion’s battle with her illness. And surprisingly, we get a raw, heartbreaking glimpse into what she’s enduring. That spasm scene was tough to watch, the tears streaming down her face… I just can’t. All in all, if you come in hoping to dive deep into Celine’s career, you might leave feeling let down. But if you want to connect with the artist on a deeply personal level, I highly recommended. Just be prepared—some scenes hit hard. TODAY SCHEDULE Trainwreck: Mayor of Mayhem I Am Celine Dion Yojimbo

I want to be VERY clear about this. Celine is 5 stars. 11 stars. This movie and structure though were pretty rough. Celine deserves so, so, so much better. Her charisma and charm are the only reason to keep watching.

I was not mentally prepared for this documentary. Seeing her so fragile left me speechless, and my heart broke during several scenes. It’s also good to learn more about this very rare disease that few people have heard of.

Heartbreaking and also inspiring. Celine sure didn’t deserve this card in life but she’s facing it with courage. It’s incredibly brave to let us in with this documentary. I hope she gets back to the stage where she belongs very soon. It gave me comfort to see Celine’s faithful dog by her side so much of the time.

“When a girl loves her shoes, she always make them fit. I have worn shoes, my friend, my toes were like this because they didn’t have my size. Every time I went to a store and I loved those shoes, they said, what size are you, ma’am? I said, no, you don’t understand. What size do you have? I’ll make them work. I’ll make them fit. I will walk the shoe. I walk the shoe. The shoe don’t walk me.…

I love this woman!!! So intense + honest + passionate, and she’s so gorgeous + stylish. Why is she surrounded by boring straight men though?? The most random people were watching this on the plane.

Não achei que fosse ver cenas tão impactantes da doença dela, a diva sofreu demais e deu a volta por cima. Feliz demais por ela e orgulho de ser fã de uma mulher tão inspiradora. Love you queen !!

I always loved Celine Dion, but never a massive fan. She’s a gorgeous person (inside and outside) and this documentary made me bawl my eyes out! I almost cried for 8 minutes straight! She didn’t deserve this and it’s super inspiring! You can only admire her strengh (to show such intimate images of yourself to the world; that’s bravery!) and heart!

Nothing like watching another woman glow after recovering from chronic illness. She wouldn’t need or want a hug from me, but I’d take a big hug from her. Exactly what I needed to watch today.

The film is so raw, so vulnerable. I feel extremely sorry for Celine. The pain, as we see in the film, for Celine is unbearable. We can see her daily life, but we can also see how she tries to do some singing in the studio. It genuinely hurts my heart seeing her like that. I wish her all my best. Hats off to Celine for having the bravery and courage to show this to people and let them see her own pain.

Oh my god Celine, I freaking love you. Incredible. This doco was equal parts phenomenal and heartbreakingly devastating. The rawness and vulnerability shown in this is courageous and so rare is the celebrity world. I was either singing or crying throughout the whole documentary. I feel privileged to have watched this. The things I’d do to get a look through the warehouse of her outfits! 9/10, incredible. Must watch for any music fan.

Celine is one of my all times, so I watched this the moment it came out. Laughed and sobbed through it. We are so lucky to have lived in the same life time as Celine, and her choice to share such a private part of her life without any smoke and mirrors shows the kind of woman she is. A kooky, strong, funny and humble person. Sincerely hope she’s one day well enough for us to see us on stage again. I think anyone who stumbles on this show will finish it wishing her the absolute best.

what a gift it is to see people burn for their passion so strongly and unapologetically. celine exudes an admirable degree of humility and gratitude. although she would have deserved a much better production, her words and her charm make up for it in every possible way. those last 30 minutes had me in tears and have provided me with an even deeper respect for this powerhouse of an artist. 🤍

what a legend and a hilarious one at that. who are you when your life’s work is debilitated and taken by a rare illness, your partner has died, and your children are grown? remarkably vulnerable. I hope she may sing again.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen the subject of a documentary allow themselves to appear so vulnerable on camera? All of Celine’s hits aside this was a captivating depiction of human resilience in the face of illness.

She is such a genuine, kind, authentic soul and it hurts to see her going through this. She has one of the most amazing voices on the planet and in her eyes she contributes that entirely to who she is. So when her condition changed her voice she felt like she lost who Celine Dion was. It broke my heart that she feels like she let us all down. But you’re more than your voice Celine! And I think this…

What a beautiful, beautiful documentary. It’s a door to Celine’s soul. There’s something so raw, honest and magical about this; it’s so fundamentally HUMAN. So, so, so human. It’s life in itself.
-
S
This documentary was intense at times but also somewhat lighthearted. Watching Celine navigate life with a debilitating disease was sad and tough to watch. The way she brought her trademark humor to the table as a way to cope with her illness was beautiful. The final scene was one of the toughest scenes I’ve watched in quite sometime. My verdict: definitely worth watching.

“I don’t want them to wait in line if I don’t have apples” Very emotional and powerful documentary. Devastating to see her like that. Really can’t believe she’s going to be able to do ten show in Paris this year. It would be a miracle to say the least. She looked ready but we’ll see. I pre registered for tickets. I’ve always wanted to see her. Very strong woman. Nothing but respect.

she’s an icon, she’s a legend and she was and still is the moment Ela é tão chique, cheia de classe, elegante e perfeita. Uma ídola e um exemplo a seguir 100%. Fiquei imensamente sensibilizada pela doença dela. Realmente, só são castigados aqueles que não merecem.

A fascinating yet heartbreaking documentary, “I Am: Celine Dion” from filmmaker Irene Taylor has Dion going into great detail about this secret she had kept from the public for many years about her inability to sing properly due to a rare neurological disorder. The film not only looks back on her illustrious career but Dion allows the camera to capture her struggles with this illness and her valiant attempt to rehabilitate enough to possibly make a triumphant return to the stage
-
T
What moved me the most was how vulnerable this is. It’s rare to see someone so famous allow the audience to witness such difficult moments. I honestly can’t think of anyone more deserving to be on the stage performing. Celine not only lives and BREATHES music, but she’s incredibly personable and still so positive after four (!) decades in the industry. You’d think she’d be jaded and cynical after everything she’s endured, but she’s just as kind and warm hearted…
