Illumination really fucked themselves by not casting Jared Leto as Mario instead of Chris Pratt because he’s absolutely DEDICATED to this goomba performance. He’s straight-up doing wopface here! i am simply thinking about: 1) al pacino’s entrance in the film is that he is looking at a tabloid photo of adam driver and lady gaga and he says, “whaaaat is thiiIIiissss” 2) a character alive, saying a thing, cut to IMMEDIATELY, that character dead in casket alskdks it made me laugh 3) lady gaga really hamming it up sucking on a spoon she used to stir her coffee so silly, somehow adam driver is the least unhinged person in this movie, it’s exactly the vibe i wanted it to be, and i learned during the q&a that apparently al pacino was hanging on set when jared leto approached in full paolo prosthetics, method acting, and said “papa?” and al pacino thought he was a stalker.

Seen last night, the subject is interesting, the acting is really good on the part of the very pretty cast and the aesthetics is not bad but I found the film long enough for nothing and that’s why I was not totally taken in the plot and yet the characters are interesting but we feel lengths and then the direction did not mark me more than that ! ———————————————— Vu hier soir, le sujet est interessant, l’acting est vraiment bon…

I love the characters. I love the cast. I love that it is light hearted well at first. But goddamn the pacing of the movie destroyed it for me. This could have been tighter. It felt like 5 hours Ridley Scott 2026 Marathon

it really did not have to be 2.5 hours long. still confused as to why they all spoke english whilst all being italian.. but lady gaga’s accent was sexy

un excellent Adam Driver, une très bonne lady gaga, un bon Al Pacino comme à son habitude, et un très surprenant ( pas dans le bon sens du terme) Jared leto et ça te fait la famille Gucci au complet bref film très sympathique mais sans la très bonne perf de Adam Driver je pense que le film perd de son charme

To put this movies quality in clothing terms it was Shein for the first hour H&M for the next 30 minutes and then ended with Zara.

This film is a stunning failure for Ridley Scott. The only two actors who are good are Al Pacino and Adam Driver. But Jared Leto… and that talentless Lady Gaga, who openly hams it up trying to play the tough and dangerous Patrizia Reggiani, is so awful and terribly pretentious. From the moment “In the Name of the Father, the Son, and the House of Gucci,” I almost threw up. The dramatic detective story seems well-directed, but it’s extremely one-sided. 4/10

I knew absolutely nothing about the Gucci scandal, so I was able to enjoy the film to some extent simply by following its astonishingly dramatic, almost fictional-sounding story. Le jeu d’acteur dans ce film est tellement mauvais…Lady Gaga est investie, mais son accent et son jeu deviennent parfois tellement appuyés que ça paraît artificiel, Jared Leto fait du cabotinage à ce stade. Ridley Scott ne sait pas quelle ligne adopter entre faire un grand drame familial et une sorte de comédie noire kitsch.
