What’s up everybody, it’s me, the biggest Dreamworks Animation fan in the world. Home (aside from Trolls which I will be watching imminently) is one of the only Dreamworks films I had never seen. And honestly I kind of wish I hadn’t bothered. I guess it really is surprising considering how epic and funny Jim Parsons is on the Bang Bing Therum on television, alongside how much I enjoy Rihanna and her wicked beats. This is one of the few movies for children I have loved both as a child and when I have grown older. Many childrens movies i rewatch when I am older feel like a disapointment but this one was as good as the first time I watched it. Beautifully made with amazing ideas such as the slushious and the incredible plot twist at the end. Can absolutely say that I loved this movie and will rewatch it again in the future.

Um it was fine, just catching it before it leaves streaming. I did like the songs, but even then, they were just fine. I didn’t think the alien speech should have been so grammatically incorrect, especially for a kids movie. They are still learning English, so don’t give them such bad examples.

I always forget how much I love this movie until I see it again and I’m reminded of the special place it has in my heart. Kids movies these days generally are just, bad. But back then we had movies that explored such emotion and realness that we all need. The themes of being an outcast, abandonment, family, friendship, so much more are all so beautifully explored with a nice layer of real comedy. Not to mention the soundtrack, which was all perfect, every song fit so well. I’m very partial to Turn Your Face because of how much emotion it has.
