Malcolm McDowell was in A Clockwork Orange, man, one of the most intentionally disturbing and uniquely crafted Kubrick films ever made. And yet it still wasn’t as scary as this fuckery. Home Alone sequels are like Texas Chainsaw sequels: nary a thing to do with the first two and just sad reminders that something so unique can be watered down into a sad shell of its former self. Also the kid never said the n word so he’s not a true gamer after all.

So, I didn’t originally intend to watch this, considering that Home Alone 4 left such a bad taste in my mouth. I’m almost convinced this movie started out as something else entirely. The studio looked at the script and decided to make it a home alone movie at the last minute because this doesn’t even feel like home alone except for the moments where it’s shoehorn’d in.

Why is this one called ‘The Holiday Heist’ when the heist has nothing to do with the holidays? The first is way more of a holiday heist, and the second as well. Malcolm McDowell is in this. I hope he got paid well. I genuinely don’t understand scoring things like this one star. It’s no masterpiece and is objectively fairly naff, but it’s not awful, does exactly what you expect, and will occasionally make you smile.

This was actually a pretty good film! The criminals were definitely the best from the comic relief,the strict boss and the constantly crying girl! Another thing that stood out was Mason the snow kid he was such a saviour! But poor Simon but things did work out for him! Another fact being that Finn thought he was protecting the house from ghosts and then stopping the criminals was very good! Definitely watch!

Enjoyed watching this one with Finn trying to catch the “ghost.” Crazy that they moved into a haunted house, but of course they didn’t know that when they got it. It does make the film better though that the house is haunted. My favorite part was when Finn set up a trap in his bedroom and he thought the “ghost” was coming in his room, but it was really only his dad and he got his dad in a tangled mess. A great funny movie for all to watch.

For some reason when I was younger they always played the first two movies and then this one. And maybe it’s nostalgia but i dont think this one is as bad as everyone says. It’s still a weak movie but i dont think it’s the worst in the series like some people say. It’s got some nice family moments and some good laughs which is more than I can say for most of the other sequels. Like i said, a weak movie but not horrible. 2 stars
