   Offen gestanden: ich bin es leid Filme wie diesen zu besprechen. Diese Kritiken werden auch langsam zu einer Ansammlung von Wiederholungen und Klischees, weil es unmöglich ist, nicht exakt dasselbe zu sagen wie zu „Red Notice“, „The Grey Man“ oder „Citadel“. Daher nur der Tipp: zwei Thumbnails weiter gibt’s bei Netflix seit heute auch „Mission Impossible: Fallout“. Das hier wirkt wie die Asylum-Version davon.

   Possibly the most boring action movie ever made. I could not tell you the plot of this film if I tried. Character motivations are all over the place. The acting is awful which doesn’t help the awful script and the action lacks all tension because you couldn’t care less about any of the characters. It literally turns into a wannabe fashion/perfume advert at the end. It didn’t infuriate me, it just really bored me. The scores pretty good though.

   STARRING: ALIA BHATT😍 (FEMALE 4FRONT) I remember many people posting about it and being so negative or mixed that it never moved me to give it a watch. But as fate would have it, I eventually found my way to watching it. And while I can see where everyone is coming from with the MI references and the generic nature of it all, I was never bored, and it was pretty entertaining. Gadot knows how to strike the poses and I noticed here she’s good with the physical performance and reacting and all. The fighting sequences weren’t that bad; some were pretty good, and the film’s cinematography was really great when CGI wasn’t involved. Furthermore, I watched with dubs, and…

    Buried in here somewhere is a fun idea: A double agent in a team of spies who have no idea their “rookie” computer expert is actually James Bond. When her colleagues aren’t looking, she kicks ass. When they are, she stumbles around and pretends she’s scared out of her mind. That’s a perfect premise for a high concept action comedy. But in order to exploit it, you need a comic actor who reads like a nebbish, so that when they suddenly transform into Ethan Hunt, it catches us off guard — and when they’re in awkward mode, they can do some actual physical comedy. So, of course, the filmmakers cast Wonder Woman in that part. I’ve got nothing against Gal Gadot…

    Netflix would rather pour millions of dollars into hollow and pitiful movies like Heart of Stone in lieu of paying fair residuals to their writers and actors. Yikes.

    Really fitting name for a movie that has no real heart…just your usual generic action packed mechanical machine chugging forward without any deeper meaning. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing of course, because the movie does, through its entertainment value, everything it probably sets out to do but if you compare it to something like the “Tom Cruise running” films, what this one is missing is the heart. Here, it’s made of stone. Cold and hard and there’s of course a reason why it is the way it is but the film never surprises me the way it should, and it leaves me disappointed…Okay, maybe there’s one scene. The story’s star is stone-faced method actor Gadot, who perfectly embodies…

    Could’ve been a fun dumb action movie but it was just dumb. Not sure if it was the wooden acting, but the dialogue sounded like it was written by AI, in fact the plot seemed to be driven by AI. Not terrible but just another filler movie for Netflix. **2.0/5**

    Heart of Stone, in spite of its big budget polish offers nothing new.

    This is very much your standard, derivative, run of the mill, action fare with a Mission Impossible vibe and a female lead.

    Its not bad, as such, its more that its all been done before and done with a little more imagination.

    As for the plug for British intelligence, as we are seeing from the Ukraine conflict and others around the world, they are no more the cuddly cat loving “good guys” than their US counterparts.

    In summary, watchable, lots of money equals polish, in terms of action scenes and special effects but that’s all that is special about this film.

    “Heart of Stone is a film of distinct halves. The first hour contains an intriguing narrative filled with surprising twists, fast pacing, and exciting stunts shot in real locations.

    Unfortunately, the movie becomes overly dependent on increasingly generic, formulaic storytelling, action, and character-building methods, ending up completely devoid of emotion or impactful resolutions.

    It will satisfy viewers without high expectations for random home viewing, but it won’t last long in their memory.”

    Rating: C+
