it makes me really mad that they never explain that the word ‘Voldemort’ is actually cursed at this point and when anyone says it, death eaters are notified of their location. What makes it worse is that they actually show this happening (when Xenophilius says ‘Voldemort’ when they’re at his home and the death eaters show up instantly afterwards) without explaining it at all. Sometimes I feel really bad for people who haven’t read the books and shit like this happens with no explanation smh

So much happens in this movie. Obviously because it’s part 1 of 2 it feels incomplete. I absolutely love the Harry and Hermione dance scene. One of my favorite moments of the series. It shows that there’s still some light in the dark times. This movie has some of the most hard hitting moments of the whole series. I recommend watching both part 1 and 2 in one sitting because that’s how it was intended. Such an incredible beginning to the end.

Honestly forgot what happened in these last two movies. They do feel very long and samey though. Ron is so hangry in this movie. Many of these movies don’t make a lot of sense unless you’re super familiar with the books and remember what they cut out lol.

I don’t think it was a terrible idea to split this book in two, but it did make this film kind of a slog. Surprisingly enough, it’s still better than Order of the Phoenix, though.
