   LOVE this film. Had a blast and a huge smile on my face the entire time. Fantastic debut by Gene Stupnitsky and Jacob Tremblay has never been better. And the other two kids, Keith L. Williams and Brady Noon are amazing as well. One of my faves of the year. Full disclosure – didn’t love the last scene (felt tagged on) but oh well. Watched at AMC Saratoga 14, San Jose, CA

    Good Boys was a barely okay comedy. Pretty much none of the jokes landed and the kids were overly dramatic and cringe during the whole film, but it just didn’t hit in a comedic way, it was just cringeworthy. The final 20 minutes saved this from being an abysmal film as the story kind of picked up and there was some sort of character arcs present.

    Good Boys is pretty mid, ngl. Three young kids messing around with adult concepts they don’t get is funny for 10 mins, then it gets boring as hell. Writing just repeats the same exact shock jokes until it pisses you off. ​Plot barely exists. Only saving grace is the chemistry between the three leads, their friendship was kinda wholesome. But the comedy itself? Flat and forced. ​If you put this on in the background while bored, you’ll probably just end up even more bored.
